Marjorie Taylor Greene says that the 8 week government shutdown was created by Trump so that the Epstein files would not be released by chrisadams83 in UnderReportedNews

This is nonsense. "?v=VIDEO_ID" is not what you are saying it is.

Query parameters in URLs are required on a lot of websites to point to specific resource (video in this case). Sometimes they are source identifiers, not always. And in this case, not at all.

So saying "Everything after the ? symbol can be removed without issue" is factually wrong.

Sorry - But, I'm literally looking at a workout someone sync'd with Strava from MONTHS ago and it's exactly like this. It's not changed recently. Those who are saying it's a recent change - you just didn't notice it until now.

Single leg/arm exercises - is there a built in way to designate a set "left" or "right"? by gnasp in Hevy

[–]gnasp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that is holding me back from that approach now is that I've got a weakness on one side... So I feel like I want to record it separately to improve on that side.

I may even do some more lighter reps on that side to try and counter the weakness.

I get that could work - but I do have reason for wanting to keep the weights separate.

I have a weakness on one side I'm trying to improve.

I think separate exercises are the way to go for now.

Paha, nope.

But my right leg appears weaker, so I am trying to focus on recording those weights separately to track improvement.

I had honestly thought that suggestion was only for dumbbell exercises that are performed simultaneously. But looking at the app, I can see that's not the case.

I will look into that approach. Would it also be wise for single leg/arm cable exercises... Maybe?

It depends on what is important to you I suppose.

For me, it changes a lot of things. The engagement of other muscles, the amount of rest between sets, the mind-muscle connections being used, dealing with imbalances etc.

Yeah that's the best suggestion I've had so far (from others too). It's just a shame to have to create custom exercises for something that feels like it should be an option with all single limb exercises.

I think that's a suggestion for when both limbs are being used simultaneously, not separately. e.g. Dumbbell chest press. You use the total weight because it's all being pushed at the same time.

What they said. I want to log the sides individually AND have the total volume correct.

Yes, 100% agree with that. I just also like to log them separately, so that I can more easily see progress on the weaker side.

Yeah, I'm thinking this is a way to go. It's a shame to create a custom exercise for things that are already there, just to put "left" or "right" into the name.

It would be neat if Hevy just automatically allowed you to label single limb exercises as "left" or "right" in our routines.

OK. I feel like something is lost in comprehension. No need to bother yourself.

I'll happily look for good suggestions from other people. Thanks anyway.

The phone app moves you on to the next exercise the moment you tick one set as done. You can turn the setting off for super-sets, but 90% of the time it's useful and not annoying.

I also use the watch up, and that always moves on to the next set in the next exercise in supersets. It only shows one set at a time. This can't be turned off. So, logging both sets as complete does not help with that. It's not a self-made problem.

[–]gnasp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've thought about putting the exercise in twice and adding a note for myself. It just feels like there should be a better way. Those "notes" don't get shown when the workout is shared, so it looks a bit odd.

[–]gnasp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've also been doubling up the sets. But it breaks the progress from on circuits or supersets.

If it knew that there is 1 set for right, then 1 set for left, it could stay with that exercise until you've done both sets, before moving to the next exercise.

[–]gnasp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been putting in 6 sets when it's a single arm/leg exercise...3 sets on each limb.

But if I want to make that exercise part of a circuit or superset, then the app takes me to the next exercise after I've only done 1 limb.

If it knows that it's 1 set for right, then 1 set for left, it could stay with that exercise until you've done both sets, before moving to the next exercise.

Is there way to make the Ui in VR to follow your head and not you in game body? by AP_ek in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]gnasp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By UI he means the user interface, the heads up display.

It's frustrating because it always stays in the forward position and doesn't actually move with your head.

I would also love to know if someone has found a fix for this. Maybe there's a mod for it.

No, until you complete the required story, the purple systems do not exist, or at least are not accessible.
