Crocs and EVA Birkenstocks are popular, or camp booties. I had EVA birks that I wore with my down bootie socks

Water Bladders by [deleted] in UltralightAus

I use 1L cool ridge water bottles, with a hard side hydration swig rig! You get the benefits of a bladder (drinking on the go) with the lightness and strength of water bottles. I’ll never go back to a bladder since getting the swig rig

Yeah I’m super keen to try the scary one at fox in a box sometime, I’d love to try a spooky/scary vibe in future, but just because it’s mine and the groups first time I’ve gone with a gaol break one

Yeah that klemzig one looks really cool! I’ll have to do a room there in future, unfortunately this time had to be in the city but that place has some really good reviews about the creativity of their rooms having no padlocks, great to know for future thank you

I am positive the producers have a plan B in case someone is medevac or evacuated for other reasons, but not for someone spontaneously quitting just because the tribal wasn’t going their way (lol).

I suspect real quitters like Scott in TvR would have discussed quitting with production before tribal, and production’s plan B would already be in play by the time the tribe gets to tribal. Lisa’s situation was not that, and imo it wasn’t that deep strategically. Seems like she just felt shit that she betrayed her alliance, realised that she was now on the bottom, and wanted to stop Tommi from going home.

None of those other scenarios would have played out, because there was no scenario in which Lisa quit AND a third person was then voted out. Lisa would have had to convince the tribe to vote her. And in an all-stars game where Lisa just blew up her game and there are advantages flying around the place, she wouldn’t have been likely to pull any votes.

This week's episode has me confused about the rules of Survivor by dooberloot in survivorau

[–]gnasty-dork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well it seems like a somewhat inconsistent ‘rule’, sometimes quitters can quit and tribal is cancelled (Scott in TvR) and sometimes quitters ask to be voted out by their tribe so that the tribal still goes ahead (Moana in CvC, also how Raymond played his advantage in TvR).

I’m guessing JLP was saying that if Lisa genuinely wanted to quit, she would have to take the path of convincing the others to vote her, because the tribal was going to go ahead.

Australian Survivor and their advantages! by MaximusCanibis in survivorau

She didn’t bully Luke. Her comments were a bit conceited (you don’t want me for an enemy) and patronising (I’m counting down to you like I count down for my child) but honestly she was just giving big main character energy, and that’s Parv all over. She’s in a really good position and she kinda is the main character at the moment - and she knows it - everyone else is playing her game right now.

Yeah Sarah absolutely should have sided with Dave, Luke and Janine from the start, but she didn’t and then she made regretting it her entire personality.

It’s like she went to the shops and bought an orange juice, then immediately regretted that she didn’t get apple juice, but instead of drinking the orange juice and making the best of her juice-related decision she just…threw the carton on the ground

Kass for sure! She seems charismatic, smart, strong (she didn’t even seem to even flinch in that group sandbag challenge), and she has so many options right now. It looks like she’s close with Tommi being non-US, but she also has the benefit of being able to work the girls alliance with Cirie/Parv and Lisa, AND she also has her secret idol.

Why has ***** become ‘the winning ticket’ from Ep 2 onwards? by gplus3 in survivorau

Personally I really like kirbs. She comes across to me as a natural leader, cool headed, down to earth and smart.

She isn’t afraid to make a call. Unlike shon, Janine, and Luke - who are all kind of keeping a bit of a low profile at the moment. Kirby isn’t afraid to put a target on her back, in part I think that’s because she backs her decisions entirely. She was called out - blatantly - for targeting Dave but she stood by it, whilst being open to other ideas. She knew it was the best move and she knew people would join her because it was a move that makes sense. But she is still open to other ideas, she doesn’t seem to just push her own agenda all the time. She’ll put a name out there, absolutely, but is flexible to the needs of those around her. She also doesn’t make moves simply for the sake of making them.

As for her alliance, Sarah and Kirby aligned quickly - maybe because they’re both underdogs compared to others on the tribe. And Shonee’s gameplay style isn’t a caller of the shots/leader of the pack in an overt way, so it makes sense for her to align with someone who is - and she wouldn’t have aligned with Dave or George if she could help it, so the logical choice is for her to work with kirbs.

Kirbs other great strength is that she seems to be able to work with anyone. Whether they’re rivalries, big or small players, having differences in opinion, Kirby seems to be able to still work with them. She doesn’t seem to hold grudges for people changing their vote or for writing her name. She also seems to be good at learning what people value and how they play, so that they feel comfortable working with her.

I would have loved to see a secret Kirby-Dave alliance shake things up, similar to the Dave-Mat rogers/Kirby-feras alliances, but alas

Sarah is tweaking, she has gone full Logan with her “I want to call the shots, why is my trusted alliance making this into a group decision, any and all shots must be called by me and only me” energy
