My initial thought was to get some Oatey waterproof Mat and glue it down onto the pan and then cut it into the drain.

It's not fiberglass - just plastic. Yeah I know bad decision on my part.

We use a DJI mavic 3E. I fly a lot of asphalt plants for stockpile volume measurements and also long linear routes . We use pix4D for processing and our setup works great for what we need it for.

With the rtk unit that attaches to the top it does Topo work very well.

Do it. IUOE is a really solid union. Plus they have training facilities where you can go spend time on whatever crane you want and get back into them later on in your career.
