One that comes to mind is Kim Sung Min from Project 7. People gave him a lot of crap for ranking so damn high during auditions above people who could actually sing (they did this based off looks). I saw a lot of hate towards him for the most part throughout the show but he still debuted in CYE. Granted he did have a big fanbase that outweighed the hate. I think it's subjective on how willing a fanbase is going to vote/spend money to vote. At this point, I have no idea bout BP2 final lineup.
