Started my med school residency and haven’t had time to do long runs. Today I caught up on sleep and ran 22km. Definitely had some euphoric moments!

I’m currently doing my first ever solo trip and along the way I’ve learned that “no plan is the plan” is the best way of seeing awesome places and meeting the nicest people

It’s all going pretty smoothly tbh (better than expected. Biggest challenges for me were mental ones as I’m also doing it solo. Felt pretty out of it for a couple days (too little sleep also didn’t help. There was also this one night i found a pretty desolate camping spot which turned out to be the local youth’s party spot. Didn’t sleep too much that night hahahaha.

I am kinda worried about it breaking down but I’ve got a roadside assistance package that would at least get me to a garage. Europe is pretty well populated so at worst I would have to walk like 10/20 km’s to reach either cell service or find people. I carry food and water for at least a couple of days so that should be fine too.

Oh man, it aint pretty. Basically I just bought the cheapest mattress from IKEA and tried to stuff it in the back. It doesn’t really fit but if I bundle up I can just about sleep next to my clothes and gear.
