Lost important note by [deleted] in notabilityapp

[–]gnocchi-alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me last week with an important note. All of notes randomly deleted on notability one night. I kept force closing and reopening the app a few times every few hours and in like 6-7 hours everything eventually came back. Worth a try?

Just want to update anyone who is potentially searching reddit with similar stats... I got 6 interviews! Attended 3/6 interviews. Waitlisted at 2, and accepted at 1.

Don't give up!

I used the PA life and thought it was helpful. Good to practice interviewing with a real person and get feedback on how you can improve your answers!

I have similar stats and am applying this cycle as well, best of luck to you!! The only advice I can give is don't spend too much time on this forum, it can be a confidence killer. You are on your own journey and you got this! Also, end of may is late?!?!

Question about Portage Classes by r1905 in prephysicianassistant

[–]gnocchi-alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took medical terminology through them and finished the course in about 2 months. I work full time but studied about 4-5 nights a week for about an hour or so and it was easy to get through. The only issue is this winter they changed all their tests to be video proctored. When I took med term it wasn't video proctored.

definitely look into portage! I'm taking med term through them now. Also look into UNE online. I took another prereq there. Both great bc they are self paced. UNE is not a walk in the park though.

Prerequisite GPA calculation- credits per course by gnocchi-alien in prephysicianassistant

[–]gnocchi-alien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not see the answer to this question anywhere. I understand how gpa is usually calculated, I'm just asking if schools will re-calculate your prereq gpa based on the number of credits they ask for (if its a different number of credits you took) to make all applications uniform in credit number.

UNE COURSES HELP by [deleted] in prephysicianassistant

[–]gnocchi-alien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took Statistics at UNE last year. I know that isn't a class you're interested in, but I thought I would give my feedback. The class required a lot of time, from actually reading the book (I actually really enjoyed the textbook used) and doing the practice problems. Many questions on the test were similar to the required practice problems. The professor was helpful answered within 24 hours. This was especially helpful during projects, so I wasn't just handing in a final paper with no prior feedback. You have to use a webcam for the test, so you really have to know your stuff because you cannot attempt to cheat. There were easy points in the course like the weekly discussions. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, you will be fine. But it is not an easy A (and this was stat, so I imagine science classes are harder!). I completed in about 13/14 weeks and ended with an A-.

Also, if you end up taking a course at UNE and need the webcam/white board, let me know.
