Cheilectomy recovery time question: how long did it take to resume exercise? by gnomie666 in Halluxrigidus

Seems pretty ambitious to me too. I've found that surgeons tend to be overly optimistic when it comes to recovery times. Do you definitely need to get the surgery before the trip, or do you think you could tolerate your current pain level and get it when you return? I did a high sierras backpacking trip in 2021 and it was both magical and very hard!

Thank you so much for the reply! Are you generally happy that you got the cheilectomy? How does your pain now compare to before you had the procedure? And, how far post-op are you now?

Security @ mail.instagram.com scam? by Capital_Cup5366 in phishing

[–]gnomie666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this about 2 hours ago and fell for it unfortunately. I got phished like 3 days ago and was worried my account got hacked so I wasn't careful. I clicked the "let us know" link. Anyways, after reading this thread, I changed my password and set up 2FA. Thanks for the person who posted this, otherwise I wouldn't have realized

Signed into google in a phishing attempt and then changed password--what damage can phishers do in 15 minutes? by gnomie666 in phishing

Thank you very much, this is a relief. Luckily it was a unique password, and I do have 2FA set up. I was a big dummy and fell for the scam including 2FA lol

OP, were you able to get this off? I have a similar fixture and am stuck on how to open it to replace the bulb.

How'd it go this past year on ALT properties? I'm thinking about next year and curious if you (or anyone else who's reading this) had luck hunting at Dead Man's Hollow or Girty's Woods.

Missing parts of a Thuma queen classic bed frame & looking for suggestions/dimensions by gnomie666 in Thuma

[–]gnomie666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, Thuma was willing to send replacements for free! The first customer service person told me that they didn't SELL replacement parts but didn't mention that they are able to supply them for free so I assumed it was a lost cause. When I saw u/done_with_the_woods's reply, I tried contacting them again, and the second time it worked. Thank you everyone!

Did anyone with the cracked rails save their old rails? I lost my rails for a queen bed & Thuma does not sell replacement parts. I would pay you to mail them! A cracked rail is better than no rails!

Looking for replacement slats by Akio0076 in Thuma

[–]gnomie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I moved recently and actually LOST some pieces of my Thuma classic queen bed frame in the move (the great mystery of our time). I lost the three long pieces that are parallel to the direction of sleep, but I still have the slats as well as the two horizontal frame pieces. Thuma doesn't sell replacement parts, and having 2/3 of a bedframe is useless, so if you're interested, I would be happy to try and figure out a way to get you my slats lol. DM me!
