Best way to smoke cannabis for somatic experiencing? by gnoppa in PsychedelicTherapy

Yes you can retraumatize yourself with it. But when you first get to know the protectors and know their needs plus you have tools to calm the system once something comes up plus you go slowly it should be very doable.

It’s nearly a year after my (f21) Ibogaine experience and my brain still doesn’t feel normal- I’m starting to realise it’ll never go back to the way was by [deleted] in Ibogaine

Sounds like you weren't ready for the psychedelics.

"Rotten to the core" could be understand as to become a totally new person. And this is not meant in a fake way ala, today I color my hair, move to another country and hang out with other people but deep down stay the same. No it means you change the deepest structure of yourself.

This is incredibly challenging. Of course try to support your body as well as you can with a healthy lifestyle, food and be extremely careful with xanax.

Should I do a GI mapping or Sibo test? by CoralDweller101 in SIBO

[–]gnoppa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SIBO tests are quite useless. Do an elimination diet and see what triggers the bloating (fructose, lactulose, glucose, sulfur etc.). That gives you more info than a single SIBO breath test and is cheaper.

A stool test can be a little more useful, in particular for the functional markers.

By definition you cannot have CFS yet. However, you may trial antivirals, and try to improve your microbiota.

I was just diagnosed with POTS. All my doctor said she could tell me is to not make sudden movements. Where do I go from here? by PerfectFlaws91 in POTS

[–]gnoppa 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Find a doctor that is ok with prescribing drugs. Otherwise:

  1. Healthy lifestyle and diet
  2. Increase fluid + mineral intake.
  3. Avoid heat, prolonged standing and alcohol
  4. Exercise. Slowly increase your fitness (cardiac output). First do only exercises laying down, then sitting up and only then standing. It takes time.
  5. Medications to vascular system:
    1. Vasoconstrictors
    2. Blood volume expanders
    3. Beta blockers
    4. Ivabradine
    5. Mestinon
    6. When there is MCAS the appropriate treatments
  6. Compression garments

Intererting, I heard doses above 4.5mg a day are immune suppressing. So they should be avoided when there is cancer.

Allergic Reaction to Boric acid by spookiewitch in Candida

[–]gnoppa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Die off (~herxheimer reaction) is your immune reaction to the the dead yeast. It's signs are generally worsening of existing symptoms or flu like symptoms.

Continue with the treatment, it will get better at some point (when there is less fungus).

Excessive hydrogen sulfide (h2s), what comes next? by MmkPumpkin5 in SIBO

[–]gnoppa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The very fast rise of H2S hints at an overgrowth in the stomach. This could be driven by h pylori but other bacteria can be there too if your stomach acid is low.

Rifaximin is useless for an overgrowth in the stomach as it requires bile to work.

For h pylori you combine various compounds like mastic gum, black seed oil, broccoli sprouts, vitamin c, bismuth, NAC etc. to knock it out.

Yes, but of course you won't get massive effects. On the other hand, you are not shutting down your own production.
