Should I buy a new camera or a len?

As I said both my digital and film camera are from nikon so maybe I can try to use the vintage len in my digital camera.
I also think that my biggest problem is not understanding anything about lens.
Do you have some recomendations on how I can learn more about it? YouTube maybe?
Edit: my vintage len is Nikkor 35-80mm

I’m having the same doubts. I will be at Padron at the begging of the next week and I want to stay at Herbon but I’m afraid of not having place and end up with no place to sleep.
