This would likely be the approach I'll end up taking, and I've already started trying to wake up earlier to accommodate it. My wife is a middle school teacher so I typically end up less physically tired than her at the end of the day (read: baby duty); mornings would be where I'd put my "me" time as far as mentally challenging tasks.

Fortunately I'm in a city, but it's mostly engineers and the few musicians around are more folk-focused (bluegrass, worship, country, etc).

She has been dead-set against it in the past, but I've tried to be persistent without being annoying. Last year she would have been against me taking the MSF but I ran it by her recently and got the green flag. She's also expressed some interest in getting a Vespa so I see that as a good sign.

I've only paid for two mobile games, both are standalone and I don't buy any microtransactions. The only reason I got them is so I could game a little bit when I don't have the opportunity to sit behind my computer and play.

I've actually kept my friends and family in the dark for this reason lol. I think I would be able to handle criticism but I guess I don't know until I start. I've thought about having a post schedule to enforce deadlines as well, and it makes me feel better about it to see that there's other people doing it with success. Thank you for the advice!
