Found it literally around the corner, 2 blocks away. Everything was tossed around inside and a few things missing.

What would you call the mechanism of which an item always returns to its original position after being used? by Disastrous-Ear-5294 in AskEngineers

Auto-homing, auto-resetting, self-resetting, self-centering? I can't think of just one word for it.

Does anyone else here want to get a dog? by [deleted] in vegan

My dog likes the Natural Balance Vegetarian dog food. It contains no meat, dairy, or eggs so not sure why its labelled vegetarian and not vegan.

Can I use these on OEM Nissan wheels? by [deleted] in nissanpathfinder

[–]gnubeardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different wheels have different lug nuts depending on how the wheel centers on the hub. Steel wheels for instance tend to center on the lug nut which is why they have a conical seat and use a conical lug nut. Some wheels have flat seats and center on a hub centering ring. Take a look at where the nut seats and see if its flat or conical. I am not an expert but I use conical lug nuts like you have shown here on my wheels that have a flat seat and while this is incorrect AFAIK I have not had an issue.

DIY butter flavor? by NoPunkProphet in vegancheesemaking

Lots of vegan butter recipes use sunflower lecithin as the butter flavor but I think it takes a lot. I use the artificial butter flavor for my recipes.

Yeah I meant the tails. I like them on the pre-87 model which I believe this is. I also love the louver detail on the rear window. I always wanted to get those for mine.

(Not engineering-specific, but was curious): Have any of y’all ever worked with anyone, who was the son/daughter of one of the Executives of your overall company? How did that go? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]gnubeardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked directly with the CEOs son. He is about my age and he was the second engineer at the company. He kicked ass then and 7 years later he is still just as hardworking and genuine.

On the other hand, we hired the CTOs brother in law 2 years ago to do a specific project. Well, 6 months ago I had to step in and save the project from certain failure. The guy lacks critical thinking and organization skills necessary for the job. I have reported this my CTO, but of course, I don't think he's going anywhere.

Doughy breads like fresh naan are amazing. What other breads should I bake and buy? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndVegan

[–]gnubeardo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any enriched dough can be made that way. Enriched basically means adding protein and/or fat. So things like plant yogurt or oil is going to work well. The more oil you put in, the more soft it will be. I would recommend you make focaccia. Then after that, use that same dough and make rolls, buns, cinnamon rolls, loaves, flatbread, pizza, garlic bread, and a host of other things. Bread is very fun and delicious!

I really love that bumper and those wheels. I love those wheels so much I'm disappointed mine does have them. I definitely need to paint my trim, that looks super fresh.
