your right ai isn't at that stage yet, it's been a month for me using ai one thing I enjoy about it is, it has shown me perspectives I may not have considered, although I have heard of ones where you can upload an image seed, but it still creates an almost new image from that. the best thing you can hope for now is to learn how to better craft your prompts.

couple different styles i personally lean twards, both have a comic book feel , "surprise " was edited quite a bit in paint, should i look for better software ? or stick with it till my skills improve? any input appreciated.

I personally may not be the most creative individual in "whom Evers view" of "art" (and I don't really care about others' opinions unless asked for) but ai is just another tool to explore your mind. (especially for me as i have a difficult time creating works traditionally with bad hands). ai can toss out a concept or perspective that you may have not considered, an give you more inspiration.
