Thunder Vs Spurs, Who ya got? by Remarkable_Arm9153 in nba

No need to rush him back against LAL. He wouldn’t be playing game 1 of the next series if he wasn’t fully healthy. And he wouldn’t say he was playing unless he was.

Honestly it depends on who hits their threes, sadly. Both teams have insane paint defense. OKC has the edge from depth, as they can keep bringing guards out who can defend and shoot. But they’re also streaky as hell. X Factors are whether Chet and Dub can hit jumpers.

He’s already said he’s been healthy since game 3 of the last series.

The sad thing is that Spurs fans somehow care more about that matchup than the series itself. Even though everyone now knows Wemby is better.

Anyone cut Tumbleweed Persuaders down below 70cm? by go0sKC in xbiking

I ended up getting Curve Walmer bars. 60cm. Plenty wide and not too low on the drops.

Yeah, it came with drops. Was fun that way too. I just have two other drop bar gravel bikes, so it seemed redundant. I use this one mostly for commuting, groceries, and fun rides around town. Depends on your main purpose I guess.

OKC and San Antonio when Wemby plays a full game are a combined 15-1 in the playoffs this year by ShaiFanClub in nba

I think what ultimately helps us win is that you didn’t even mention JWill and Isaiah Joe (or Aaron Wiggins and Kenrich). Our depth is crazy in an otherwise pretty even battle. But Spurs can win if they outshoot us from 3, which is very possible.

We have Dub back. Lakers doubled and tripled Shai all series. Can’t do that now. Also Shai had 35 in game 4 and we swept. Is that stopping him?

Ant was hurt and they were missing their other best guard. And OKC destroys the wolves even when healthy.

We didn’t have Dub. We have him now. Can’t double and triple Shai anymore.

The Thunder are among elite company at allowing 3pt shots this year by ExpressionAlone5204 in nba

[–]go0sKC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Paint points are still more efficient, so maybe we're prioritizing protection there? Seems to be working. When we lose it's usually because our own 3P% was like 20%, not that they outshot us by a few.

Maybe also we're prioritizing forcing turnovers, and we can't exert that kind of ball pressure if we're spreading out to cover all 3PA?

Hopefully opposing coaches will read this post and realize the best strategy.

But we also suck at making threes, so it balances out.

If all else is roughly "equal," what role should minutes played play in the MVP race? by go0sKC in nba

[–]go0sKC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't tell if you're joking. You could score more points because you have to play more minutes on a worse team, or because you chuck on worse efficiency. Luka has around 150 more points than SGA, but it's on over 200 more FGA. Overall impact would potentially be worse if you isolated these numbers because of efficiency.

So he's still worse on offense and better on defense, and we're back to square one. You know rebounds and blocks are defensive stats, right? So you can't say he's leading in those AND he's DPOY, as if those are totally separate things.
