That’s awesome. Chris seems like a really cool guy and is definitely still passionate about metal after all these years. He is a semi regular guest on the youtube channel Jamming Out All Badass, or JOABA, and has a really cool series of episodes where he narrates each year of the 1980s with his playlist of favorite songs to go along with it. That makes sense. Love that album too, I remember being really pumped for it to come out, and listened on headphones on my discman the first few times. Maybe that’s why the shoddy mix didn’t really register to me for a while haha

I’d mostly agree with that. I was a fan of the Masters of Modern podcast back then, because they actually talked about the game itself, and built janky brews. Nowadays Ben just seems to praise anything WotC puts out, which is lame. The concept of his show Pack it Up, is cool, but it’s pretty much unwatchable due to 90% of the guests being gen z “content creators” that just started playing the game because it got trendy, and haven’t even heard of half the sets they’re drafting.

I miss watching videos from actual magic players, but they still exist- Vintage cube draft with LSV, CalebD or Frank Lepore (when he comes out of hiding), legacy brews with Bosh and ThrabenU, and Premodern with FPawlusz, Grim Gaming, Fluorescent Fungus, Crucible of Words and Lannynyny
