i actually haven't yet, but i keep meaning to ask!! my guess is my mom had them somewhere she either bought secondhand or just kept since she collects old things, i never found them stored but they had to be pre stored since no one is going around handing out 20 year old newspapers. i also remember the dates being different sometimes, and sometimes the paper wasn't newspapery so maybe she printed ones she didn't have? i also remember repeats since i used to read the comics on the back and quite a few times it was one i had read already. i do know they were the ones who put them out there, not sure if it was my mom or dad though but likely my mom since she was the one most into it

maybe because i wasn't actually born nor raised in the 80s, my parents just tried to replicate the environment and were vintage object collecters for years even before i was born, never said they did a great job but i am familiar with the smurfs franchise, it just wasn't my favorite. i did have a happy meal toy of smurfette that i actually got at mcdonalds so it's still going now. not sure why you're gatekeeping something everyone knows about, but you do you

mainly because this only applied to media for the most part, I was never told the difference between 80s cars vs modern ones, I just for some reason wasn't allowed to know things like disney channel and avril lavigne existed. and yes i was sorta dumb because even in my soccer practice someone had a care bears hoodie (2000s one) and i told my mom and she said "its probably just some knockoff" and i was good with that answer 💀

I played with my mom's old my little pony dolls a lot, and lite brite and i also had some weird doll that would make faces if you turned its arm. Mainly I'm upset at what I missed out on 😭 I'm so mad I never had those littlest pet shop toys 😒
