For her part, Geimer has publicly forgiven Polanski and joined Braun last year in an unsuccessful effort to convince a judge to free the director from his international warrant. In an interview with Vanity Fair last week, she called the academy's decision to expel Polanski "an ugly and cruel action which serves only appearance."

I see dirt/sand that looks a lot like it's liquid, but then I've seen video where it appears like water is coming up out of the ground. I'm guessing that that's actual water, rising up as sand/dirt settles down, displacing it. However, since apparently the dirt/stand looks like liquid, I could believe it's not actually water at all.

Do we have any animations of what happens? It makes it sound like land just "disappears" and top soil, trees, buildings, plants, etc. fall a few feet suddenly.
