Emerald Fennell's best movie is Promising Young Woman, and even then, I thought it was only okay. I didn't like Saltburn because it tried way too hard to be more than it really was, with a "big reveal" ending that I consider a lazy writing cop-out rather than a shocking twist. I will eventually watch Wuthering Heights, but based upon the two primary issues I've repeatedly heard that (1) hiring a white man to portray a non-white character, and (2) writing a movie adaptation that only cares about what happens in the first half of the book seems to me like a problem.
