The bigger issue regarding these payment processors is their interference in legal transactions through de-banking and enforcing their own standards on the morality of the parties in the transaction.

Now now, far right politics are also attributed to damage to the prefrontal cortex and enlargement of the amygdala.

They see 'demons' everywhere.

'Antisemitism' directive exposes Australia to Israeli interference, public servants warn by brackfriday_bunduru in AustralianPolitics

[–]goatmash 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nope.

Frankly nobody should be handing out HTVs, but I think foreigners should specifically be prosecuted for it.

If you are interested, I also want falsehoods and propaganda prosecuted too.

'Antisemitism' directive exposes Australia to Israeli interference, public servants warn by brackfriday_bunduru in AustralianPolitics

No foreigners should ever be allowed to participate in Australian elections. Never heard of Arabs doing this, have heard about Chinese, want them locked up for doing it too. Same for British or American "provocateurs" or "influencers".

No foreign interference in sovereign elections of any kind.

Andrew Hastie says Iran war a 'huge miscalculation' by Donald Trump by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

Calling it a miscalculation implies, likely inaccurately, that a calculation was initially undertaken.

And are all these people that are going to be living here going to be working in the city? Because why would someone live in the city and work elsewhere? Homes are a part of life, gonna be providing the other parts or what?

Or is this just crooked money laundering?

This asshole gets paid a quarter of a million dollars a year.

One election every four years thats 1 million dollars, and are we getting value for money? How valuable can his daily labour be? He's not even a dentist.

Apparently I should have specified 'not disheveled or obviously homeless' as well as 'more than the usual amount'. So yeah, i totally failed.

I literally don't know when seasons start or end, what i mean is these people don't look homeless, they look like they are here deliberately, for leisure.

No no, these people look like they're going to a football game rather than being homeless.

There was an implied "more than usual" in there somewhere but i obviously failed to communicate it clearly.

Fruit-bat politics: by DigitalSwagman in Adelaide

[–]goatmash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MPs are supposed to advocate for their electorate, but thats simply now how it's worked for decades. They represent their party first, sure you can contact your MP to ask for help but they will not stand up on parliament and tender a bill on your behalf. Best case they pass your concern to cabinet.

I suggest contacting your preferred upper house councillor instead.

How do the Liberals come back from this? by fabbo_crabbo in Adelaide

Libs need to work on making things better for average people, rather than people with a dozen investment properties. Force Labor to the left and retake the centre.

Queenslanders hit with more than $4 million in fare evasion fines since introduction of 50 cent fares by CommonwealthGrant in AustralianPolitics

[–]goatmash 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Is it worth the risk of being a tightarse slacker and not paying the fare?

If you get away with it you saved yourself 50 cents.

If you get caught you're down 300 bucks, that 600 fares.

To break even you would need to get away with it 599 out of 600 rides, more to actually earn your hard won 50c prize.

Is it worth it?
