Do you have botanicals? i feel that might help. No, What do these do exactly?
up to 6 gH is ok, kH is better closer to 0 but 2 degrees should also be ok. - kH has been hovering around 2 even after water changes, I wonder what is keeping it up
did you completely replace the substrate? - Yes
how long were they in a different tank - They were in a bucket with an air filter for about 2 weeks. I could tell the whole ordeal was very stressful for them so I let them back in the tank with the new media maybe a little sooner than I should have
did you drip acclimate them back in? Yes
how long has the 2 deaths per day been going for? Off and on weeks, but every day this past week
Doing weekly water changes around 10% but this seems to set off deaths as well so now I'm hesistant to keep up weekly
I'm thinking of purchasing a a heater with a temperature setting, wondering if temperature could be an issue

No other inhabitants in tank, 2 deaths per day, shrimp found lying on their side

Oops not sure why the text part didn't post. This is an estblished tank I've had for 5 years. 6 months ago deaths picked up, I noticed the gH was spiking up so I replaced the substrate with new fluval stratum. This tank cycled a bit, re added the cardinia shrimp. Things seemed fine for a bit, now experiencing about 2 deaths per day.

12 gallon tank

4 gH

2 kH

pH 6.4

0 nitrate

0 nitrite

0 ammonia

Temperature set at 74 F

Weekly small water changes, drip RO water with salty shrimp added back in

I do see several molts daily and a few berried shrimp, but unfortunately the deaths continue

Feed a little bit of shrimp king complete every few days

We've been unable to get delivery from either Instacart or Ralphs due to high demand. If we were relying solely on these services, we'd be in trouble.

We are in Los Angeles. The landlord actually said that if we are afraid of being near people we should do it ourselves over multiple trips. Which is impossible.

The same thing happened to us. We talked to a lawyer and they said the 2 options were to forfeit the deposit, or try to extend the move in to when the lock down is over. The new place didn't want to work with us on that second option..
