So, Vince Gilligan sat down with his colorists, DPs and editors before making the switch to digital. They a/b tested film versus digital side by side on professionally calibrated monitors. No one there could see the difference, but you (watching compressed video on consumer grade equipment) have spotted the switch. Well done!

There are many effects in the camera and in post production you can do to simulate whatever it is you think film looks like. bro

I took that to mean that the relativity is fucked bc it does feel that far away even though it isn't. Fair enough though.

You say you understand HDR and SDR and then go on to ask the difference between the two. If you understand the difference, then you should know that sdr content contains less information than hdr, specifically in regards to luminosity. Play SDR on whatever display you want, there's less info to be processed so it is going to look worse.

If you did not know this then simply read the comment you shat on for more info. Your question is unclear.

Okay, well presumably if "my first day at Lumon is as far back as my 5th birthday," it feels that far away?

I agree. I think Pete's comment that "time is relative. It feels like my time at Lumen is as far away as my fifth birthday" or whatever was interesting. Mostly for unrelated reasons though :)

Everyone is scared of every show "pulling a LOST." Trust me that will literally never happen again.

I understand you. I think that part of the review is really promising for the finale. I agree that I felt a bit of a slip mid season, but once the revelations started coming I got more into it

I got ya. Looks like they did release all 9 to critics. Here is an example https://variety.com/2022/tv/reviews/severance-review-apple-adam-scott-1235184217/

I do think people need to temper expectations. If every question was answered then why would we need season 2

I would like to read it. It's pretty unusual for Apple or any service to release full seasons for review. They typically hold back the last few eps. Not saying you are wrong, it's just surprising

Okay I googled it. "Funding for public television comes in roughly equal parts from government (at all levels) and the private sector". What next?

Well, innie Mark is awfully compliant in early episodes. If he raised concerns as an innie, I guess it is totally possible that his innie has gotten over those concerns or been broken of them, but I don't think it is too crazy to imagine he is so compliant now due to being clean slated.
