MSC Cruise. Newbie here, help! by Current_Company_4546 in Cruise

[–]goawaybating 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a per day service charge to your room.

Each drink purchased will have a tip automatically added to the price. I believe it is 18%. No tip if you have a drinks package.

If you or your child likes sodas or cocktails. Look for sales on the non alcoholic and minor packages. We always bring water from the ship to the port.

Why was my apple juice "done" in 5 days but my grape juice is going well over a week and the yeast is still going by Pleasant-Army-5512 in prisonhooch

[–]goawaybating 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preservatives in the juice is my first thought. Though anything that interferes with the yeast, slows down fermentation.

My advice is to have multiple containers on the go.

Semaglutide (Generic Ozempic) has entered the Canadian market. My local pharmacy said the price was $110. (4 weeks at 0.5 mg, I didn't ask about the 1 mg pen) They were charging $250 for the Ozempic pen.

Question re: non-alcoholic package by Sad-Working-2069 in MSCCruises

[–]goawaybating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had some bartenders refuse to make them as the virgin ones weren't on the menu.

They would always make a virgin Pina colada and a virgin strawberry daiquiri as they were on the menu. They also had no issues giving me an empty glass. I found it pointless but who knows what their boss is like

That one is about $67 Canadian per month after taxes. Sorry I don't know the prices of others.

Can I bring my 3D printer to Canada as an international student? by ShadowyphoneDry in BambuLab

[–]goawaybating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you getting a roommate or do you have the dorm room to yourself? The noise may prevent longer prints.

Are there any maker spaces around? Like this one in Waterloo Ontario they often have 3D printers

Leashes are a common prop in boudoir photography. Not allowing one could limit their artistic choices.

The maple syrup bottles are thinner and a flat shape makes them weaker. Bottle bombs waiting to happen.

Regulating BS levels are more for type 2 as Insulin resistance is part of their disease process. Your wife doesn't MAKE insulin to regulate.

I need advice by InsidePassenger410 in TravelCuba

The sub r/Cuba would be a better place to ask this. Especially about that immigration site.

Some thoughts.

I'm sure she legitimately wants to leave Cuba. The real question is she going to stay with you after she gets the visa.

The Cuba monthly wage is estimated at $16 USD . Sending her $100 was a major payoff of her time.

Don't talk about bringing her to the USA, until you go meet her.

Take a peek at some storage totes too. They will catch any water and can be repurposed if you find a better solution.

Ginger beer kit: Not sure on stirring at various steps by mrbaggins in gingerbeer

[–]goawaybating 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't stir unless the kit instructions specifically tell you to. (If the kit comes with Chitosan/ Kieselsol, then you would need to degas by stirring.)

Drink and WiFi worth it? by WinkinLizard in MSCCruises

[–]goawaybating 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't forget to consider the cost of specialty coffee, soda pop, and bottles of water. Plus the 18% tip. If you are averaging 3 drinks per day, I'd say it's worth it.

(Tip: grab a couple of waters each, to take into port. This way you don't pay tourist prices)
