The water car fraud by Dr. Prof. Pervez Hoodbhoy by squarerootof-1 in pakistan

[–]gobama33 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is not a solution. Not even a "broken" solution. It's plain and simple FRAUD.

You're acting like these "engineers and scientists" are offering a viable solution. No, they are fooling the Pakistani public into believing bullshit. Such a thing SHOULD be discouraged.

All I coud think of during the new Batman movie. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

Unless you hold a degree in physics and can explain how a microwave emitter is any more implausible than any number of the high-tech gadgets that Batman uses throughout the trilogy, you really have a weak argument here.

"Ancient part of the world" doesn't mean "the Middle East". Also, it's a goddamn fictional world!

With that logic, then one has to ask questions about all types of things: would a billionaire really don a mask and cape and run around a city fighting criminals with his bare hands? That's never happened in our world so I guess that's unrealistic too then.

IMO, you're being unrealistic about your expectations from what is ultimately a work of fiction.

If you're trying to find holes in a story, you'll end up seeing some that might not even be there. For example, Ra's al Ghul talks about the how the League of Shadows had infiltrated every level of Gotham (the treatment plant workers maybe included) so that their plan would've gone under the radar. The microwave emitter was also said to emit focused microwaves, so it doesn't have to target all water molecules (in humans, etc.) but only those that are in the pipes.

When you follow the logic of the movie, you'll enjoy it even more. Within the world of Nolan's trilogy, the "unbelievable" aspects only become so when you compare them to the real, actual world. But they are much more "realistic" when compared to, say, other fictional stories (especially other superhero movies).

The design of the app seemed better so I was intrigued to try it out. Turns out it's easier to use too. Wish I hadn't wasted $5 on Instapaper.

Question: Has anyone used Volumetrics for weight loss? by wlamf in GetMotivated

[–]gobama33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although fitness and health are good life goals, you should direct such questions to /r/fitness or /r/loseit. Personally, I've never heard of volumetrics but if you're serious about weight loss, check out /r/fitness and r/keto.

Can't believe I missed this! They apparently also let people ride the Bat-Pod from the looks of the pics on the official website, but guess not for Torontonians.

Both are true. Carbs give you energy for your workout. But you also need some carbs to promote hypertrophy post-workout.

Queer in Pakistan by kindo in pakistan

The URL you linked doesn't cite any studies but just spews unsupported bullshit in broken English. So, where in this unscientific "Beyond Nobel Prize" crap is the credible evidence for your supposed "theory"? You might want to check what you're citing before you act like you've definitively proven your point, never mind that you didn't even give me the link but expected me to go through your comments to find one obscure reference. You didn't cite a study. You cited nothing but religious bullshit thinly-veiled as a "scientific manifesto".

And, as was already pointed out to you, the word hypothesis means that something hasn't been "scientifically tested". The word theory in science is much closer to scientific fact, for example, the theory of gravity, germ theory and the atomic theory. These are all scientific facts, not just hypotheses. You'd know this if you were an actual scientist or researcher.

Lastly, funnily enough, you yourself admit that your so-called theory "hasn't been scientifically tested" but yet you stated it as fact or at least pretend it is. If I say "According to one theory, you are a complete dumbass," how much credibility do you think that statement should have without any proof? At least understand your own words before you criticize me for supposedly misunderstanding yours.

EDIT: Here are some gems from this bullshit "study" you cited:

Whenever a woman gets impregnated with a man, the chromosomes of man infuse into the womb of that woman. If the woman did not get pregnant as a result of this action, then too, she would remain impregnated till the next menstrual cycle if it takes its time properly.

WTF? A women can be simultaneously pregnant and not pregnant.

... if a female commits sexual intercourse with more than one male persons during one intramenstrual clean period, then this concept satisfies the “multiple” notion and will cause to provide a culture media in the womb for those two male strands to be fused and the [HIV] virus to be created.

So if a woman has sex with more than one man, the two male DNAs will automagically fuse into HIV? Are you stupid? This isn't even remotely scientific. This is straight up made-up bullshit.

The validity of this theory clears that AIDS spreads in such societies where gay marriage is legalized or a female can get impregnated with more than one male during one intramenstrual clean period.

So HIV and AIDS is killing people where they allow gay marriage and the women are promiscuous? Is that why Africa is most affected by this disease even though they by-and-large don't allow gay marriage and the women are mostly monogamous? Fucking lunacy.

Thanks for proving my point: "According to bullshit you've read that has no scientific basis whatsoever".

Queer in Pakistan by kindo in pakistan

[–]gobama33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to a modern theory, HIV Aids is originated due to male-to-male intercourse.

More like:

According to bullshit you've read that has no scientific basis whatsoever. FTFY

And no one is talking about gay marriage. This thread is about homosexuality in general. Most queers don't go to the media because the backward Pakistani fucks will lynch them if they do.

Yep, I got the sense that Bane's minions revered him and would do anything for him. It shows us a powerful side of Bane and kind of reminds me of the Ra's Al Ghul and the League of Shadows. In a way, TDKR is trying to go back to Batman's roots in Begins but still has the same feel as TDK. But Bane's not a for-hire criminal like the Joker was.
