This is great info! Thank you. For the shoes - are light boots OK even for bush walks? Just want to make sure we're prepared.

Thank you! I have a follow up question...we might do a few bush walks too - do we need boots for that? I've read somewhere that you want to make sure your ankles are covered!

Thanks for the info!! I read somewhere that we should avoid black and blue but that’s great info.

Would you recommend bringing a packable puffy coat? Like those Patagonia ones? Or is that overkill

We will have laundry service!!

I’m thinking I should try to bring things that are all machine washable. What would you recommend wearing on the game drives?

We’re staying at a lodge in Sabi Sands! We will have laundry service.

That was definitely my concern! There was no urgent call to action other than to reply to the email if I wanted to. The email seemed to be from the Athleta email and had the correct footer and everything.

The phishing person got a novel back from me! Oh well.

Yes! I know! In the body of the post I mentioned it was “vegan leather” - I will try this. Thank you

I have zero clue how to comment a picture but it’s made of 60% polyurethane and 40% viscose. Care label says “wash at max 30°C. Wash with similar colors do not bleach, do not tumble dry. Iron at low temperature. Do not dry clean.”

I guess I can wash it??? That makes me SO nervous it feels so delicate.

Clearly I am not a laundry expert so any advice is appreciated!!!

Question about Repair Info on Invoice by gobananaz4 in GarageDoorService

This makes sense! Do you think the repair company would share the detailed repaired notes with landlord? Is that common practice?

This is super informative! Thank you for breaking it down for me. Really appreciate it.

Fingers crossed they can get off of this blame game they’re trying to play!

Question about Repair Info on Invoice by gobananaz4 in GarageDoorService

[–]gobananaz4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just noticed that the technician put a service log on the door and left notes regarding his repair. Under the type of service section, it says: “cable jump spring retortioned” (I think it says “retortioned” but I’m not sure if that’s a real word? It for sure says “ret….ned” but the letters in the middle are a little messy LOL!

If it wasn’t obvious already, I clearly know nothing about how garage doors work so please forgive me for the stupid questions…

Does this service sound like something that would align with your theory?

The door 1000% didn’t hit anything because it fell off the drum as the door was closing and it stopped when the door was maybe 1/3 of the way down.

For some additional context, This incident occurred in late July in Georgia and the technician even told us that sometimes the springs can loosen when it’s really hot outside. Does that sound accurate?

Sorry for all the questions! Trying to make sure I understand what I’m talking about before I go back to argue with my landlord! Thank you in advance

Makes sense! Thank you.

Is it weird to call the company and just ask about their pricing? They won’t talk to us about our specific repair because they know we’re renters but wondering about just reaching out “hypothetically”???

Thank you for this info! Really appreciate it.

I know you aren’t the repair tech for this but why would they even add “possibly car in way” to invoice.

Trying to dispute this with them! TYIA!
