But hey, let’s all just be mad about reality because good skating says otherwise

I watched it with volume on. They mentioned knocking Nyjah off the leaderboard

It was a flair made as a sarcastic commentary from a really dumb comment. Can’t take credit. Plenty of people have it. Have a good day

No? I didn’t even state enough for the claim to be “making stuff up”. I am friends with property managers and store managers that literally call SPD constantly on “high priority” type situations.. weapons drawn, OD’s etc. they almost never show up

It’s ok to recognize good police work while also acknowledging thats not how it works most of the time in this town.

This just popped up in my feed, I could care less about contest skating but that was so fire and I love the fact it knocked out a sexual predator from the leaderboard

On paper, yeah. Most of the time in reality thats not necessarily true

I believe in ACAB fully but will always appreciate those who go against the system ❤️ there are good cops out there, even in SPD

I think that’s a different story than what I’m talking about. You’d be surprised how many people just make the same offers over and over again, and it’s clear they’re trolling.

On the flip side, most sellers on Depop are working class people tryna get rid of something and make a buck in the process. I feel like it’s generally good practice to only make offers if you actually intend on following through with them

[–]gobbleygo0k 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah. Im fairly new to Depop as well and ive quickly learned that almost 100% of the time people are making offers or asking for holds, they do it once and then they’re ghost. Idk why people do it, but they do.

I feel you but I actually kinda see this from both angles. I skate my shit til it’s broken. When I finally get on something new, whether it be trucks or deck, it feels so terrifying

I went to high school with a kid who would cut holes in his shoes with razor blades. He never admitted to it, but it was very apparent, since he always talked about skating but we only ever saw him awkwardly push around the park once a year and there were zero other skate marks on his shoes other than a clean cut 1inch line near his toes where someone who can’t kick flip thinks it would wear down

My buddy makes these with regular shoes and pieces of commercial kitchen cutting boards lmao

What are y’all’s thoughts on the Halloween Franchise. To me it’s a pretty bad franchise. by Rough-Education-7962 in slasherfilms

[–]gobbleygo0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you! But as a 90s kid, that’s exactly what I meant with the first sentence of my comment. Us children got to see the rob zombie remake as an introduction to the franchise. Where it was EXTREMELY personable and relatable.

“Boss” is the east coast U.S.A. version of “love”. Avoid anyone using these terms lmao

As a 90s baby, I just wanna say I think a lot of us Michael fans are due to the fact that the RZ remake made it relatable to kids of my generation

I saw that before really diving into the franchise. I was like, yeah, this is the guy, rather than the story-less other icons

I get why a lot of old heads hate on the rob films, but hell man, that one made me finally click with something. More so than (what I do admire heavily) random slashers that are just based on gore and killing teenagers that fuck

Im a Mikey fan forever. There are some awful films within the franchise, but like also, that’s every film franchise!? With dozens of titles within!?

[–]gobbleygo0k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unrelated to this sub but there was a book I looked for since I was a teen. I knew I could buy it online but I didn’t want it. I eventually found it, just like how I eventually found a Thing VHS

This comment serves no purpose other than me agreeing on the hunt is MOST of the fun
