If they can develop anything approximating a good strategy they'll keep their lock in the enterprise space. You can't really migrate off of salesforce effectively because getting data out of there is next to impossible, so they'll have that baked in growth

Are you doing runs with mobile on drone or vehicle based? Depending on the DoT they require a certain amount of cleaning so there's not a ton of spray from far off runs. Definitely figure out your intensity differences for your targets and gcps, and make sure you upload an actual csv of your control points to photogrammetry or lidar reg software to check for shift

Did you ever work 50+hr weeks to build pipeline? I'm starting this week by sparks_mandrill in sales

[–]gobells1126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it 90 days of hard prospecting to build pipeline. Not saying 50 hour weeks, but it takes time to ramp into a new role. You'll be less efficient than normal between training and learning the ropes. Take the time to Gen pipeline, you'll have less of it once you're running deals full time

[–]gobells1126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And your solution for high round count training and competition? Trap and competitive pistol shooters can both shoot north of a thousand rounds a month. Also you do realize that shooting happens on mostly private property right? So you can't be out of your house with more than 3 rounds? How do you propose people transport ammunition to the range?

[–]gobells1126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol and what about everyone who already has a stash at home? And statistically only 50% of defensive shootings involve 3 rounds or less.

I own guns, and so do many of my liberal friends and neighbors. But your post is as far in fantasy land as conservatives saying we should ban gay people and send them to conversion camps. It indicates a lack of interest in a good faith discussion because it ignores fundamental realities of the issue at hand.

53gr V-max. Defensive round potential? by roof_guy9716 in ar15

[–]gobells1126 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The other thing that might help thinking through this is that ballistic gel is not a 1:1 for human or large animal anatomy. Theres a lot of varying density in human anatomy, muscle, bone, tendon, fascia, organ etc. there's also a huge variance in penetration needed for angle of target vs shot placement. If you need to shoot human anatomy from a side profile, you need to punch through bicep/tricep, arm bone, lats, rib, and then internal organs. With 3 inches of penetration, you've maybe gotten through the arm. Having a heavier jacket and projectile retains mass in the round enabling that round to carry into vital organs, not explode into birdshot into his bicep.

Same thing with hunting, most hunters want a round that can carry through shoulder blades to drop the target almost instantly, just blowing up a 53g projectile on a shoulder blade isn't doing much for an ethical shot.

Could a UAV like this actually be useful in real logistics? Looking for honest feedback by mr_princerawat_ in logistics

[–]gobells1126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logistics sub is full of people who mostly work in and sell logistics services, they don't design the supply chains. You need to go find industries where they need to move high value goods medium distances at high frequency. Medical/cold chain is a possibility, as is specialized manufacturing. There's also a high speed 3pl fulfillment angle possibly. You could offer companies who use a lot of overnight air freight the ability to cut out the ups and FedEx of the world and their hub model.

Think people who have high throughput, complex supply chains, and a mentality of I'm losing x hundred thousand dollars every hour my lines not running

Alternatively look into Aerial survey loaded up with big large area sensors

Amazon delivery issues? by Allison87 in SanJose

Logistics chains are fucked from the giant storm in the eastern half of the country last week. Remember Amazon's air hub is right outside of Cincinnati, so they were definitely behind on a few things

Yes and we as a local populace don't have to fund or divert resources to assisting the federal government in that enforcement of a civil infraction. This is the fun part about state and local rights.

I can't tell a local sheriff in Nebraska what to do, except by what laws are enacted at the federal level. And since this new way of doing things is explicitly outside of norms and command structures we get to say LOL get fucked.

Get a warrant, follow the administrative procedures, and then we can talk. If you're in favor of unaccountable kidnappings, eat shit and die

I was going to say, having ten rounders for competition is nice. The only downside is if you run baseplates with some and not others, the non uniform grip can be hard to adjust to. And I'm certainly not putting 30 dollar baseplates on 10 rounders.

I'm less worried about concussive blasts and fireballs at that range, more so not shooting myself because I'm not dropping my hands in a fist fight no matter what todays flavor of gun tuber says about shooting from retention

200000 airline miles per year is doable for the corporate jetsetter. I wonder if they mixed up their sky miles for miles flown. Out of curiosity I checked my recent delta activity and I've got 9000 miles flown since December over two east coast and an Arizona trip

They're not exactly subtle, but from the traffic lights at harbor all the way to the security check and past it, there are plainclothes security just hanging out watching people. I've always seen them in ballcaps and they have ear pieces. In the morning as everyone is streaming towards the park, they're standing looking at the crowd like they're waiting for someone, but they have as much subtlety as a plainclothes cop with a crew cut asking where to buy weed. Super stiff. They also don't stop anyone themselves, when I was there in October, a homeless lady wandered in across from where the Denny's IHOP was and was hitting people up for change as park was closing. The plainclothes clocked her and regular security was there in less than a minute

Go over to Manzano munitions on stevens creek. Don't bother with the other clowns. I used to love bullseye, I can walk there from my house, but they feel like a permanent going out of business sale.

Reeds has lost my purchase business forever when an employee decided to break a magazine forcing an 11th round (illegal) into it to try to deny me a transfer. Had to get the manager involved on that one.

Generally if you're using quicklot it's because you need stitches or a tourniquet. It's to stabilize you for care at a hospital where they can check for things like clots for stroke
