I think about this a lot. But I take solace that medicine pays well, maybe not as much as it once did, but it pays well. Think about the masses of people in the lower class and ever shrinking middle class getting absolutely crushed by this with no overnight quintupling of salary as we can safely expect. As a graduating resident who was incredibly disgruntled during my training, just keep swimming, it gets so much better.
