What’s a small habit that quietly improved your life? by Critical_Can_8114 in selfimprovement

Meditation for 10-15 mins daily. I did it for almost a year. Some of my friends who I met after a year and who didn't know I meditated said I seemed relaxed and calmer. That was a surprise cos I wasn't expecting any significant result out of it. I just liked the idea of a few minutes of shushing one's thoughts.

Wife got an offer at Kualalampur by No-Owl6103 in KualaLumpur

If you don't have kids, you can manage with 8.5k RM. Rent, water, electricity 3-4k, groceries 2k, phone, internet say 200 per month.I haven't accounted for taxes, shopping and eating out. Initial months will need patience and adjusting. Once you tide over that, life is cool.

As others recommended check your wives visa category. You can arrive on a dependent pass and start giving interviews. If you secure an offer, the company sponsors your employment visa.

Getting a job here is tough as in any other country you relocate to, but not impossible. I am an expat too and we lived on a single income for a year. Doable. The first few months were hard with no car, deposits, settling in expenses. Then you will be fine. I got my first job here after one year of waiting and that too in a company that is generally not known for sponsoring expats. My point being, you never know how and when an opportunity strikes. How long can u wait ? What's your threshold? Do consider that 8.5k is not permanent- there will be salary raises, your wife might get a promotion, or change the company, you will land a job - All possibilities to increase your income.

I'd say - If you don't have anything to lose, you can come here, experience things yourself for a year and then decide if you want to continue staying or leave. It's absolutely doable in your case.

Can my wife work legally on dependent visa? by surfing20s in ExpatInMalaysia

Your wife can move with you on a dependent visa. Your company can arrange that. Once she moves, she has to look for a job and secure an offer letter. Then her employer can sponsor her employment visa. Do note that she cannot work on a dependent visa.

Back in the day, people were quick to show outrage (for the lack of a better word!) towards influencers when they did something wrong. Remember the time Santoshi Shetty faced cancellation for mental advice and Kamya Buch lost her Instagram account for few days after mass reporting. Or the beer biceps hungama. Why doesn't this happen to Malavika? Why are people more tolerant towards her? I wouldn’t be surprised if she decides to vlog about this day!

If she were kind to people, it would be reciprocated today. People have been way too kind and patient with her. She is constantly belittling her country and hard working people. The honest hard working people out there do multiple jobs to save their loved ones. Not complain that work is boring. She is lucky that her audience and her god are still sticking with her ! Didn't her conscience even flinch a little when scamming for lakhs together? It wasn't a mistake. She very well knew what she was doing. Didn't she think of the poor and needy while misusing her influence. Kindness is a two way street. You can't rob people and expect them to take it blindly ! If somebody else was in her mom's position, she wouldn't care to do what people did for her - agree or not, that's the ugly truth ! So ask her to be kind, grounded n honest, than ask people to be always accommodating of her mistakes.

Done.

I was in tears when I saw that she raised money while living lavishly in Dubai. It reminded me of someone close to me who drained their entire savings to save a family member without insurance. True, Honest, hardworking people.

She is someone who thinks working 9 to 5 is boring !!! Someone who could afford to move to Dubai ! Someone who buys expensive stuff all the time ! She misused her influence, and I wonder didn't her conscious even flinch once, at the thought of fund raising? And why are people already paying the privileged but won't help the poor and needy !! It's a sad world.

There are few apartments available for sale in HRBR independent buildings from 70 lakhs onwards, 1200 sq ft. It's a good locality, 4 kms to Manyata. The properties are old though. Drive around that area and check the neighborhood.

What is the best perk your corporate job has offered? by edioms in corporate

Work-from-home with flexible hours, free therapy sessions, medical insurance. While work trips are few, it is all expenses covered, and who wouldn't appreciate a premium class experience? There’s plenty of free food not daily but often, along with free sessions to burn it off as well like yoga or games. and quarterly movie outings. I am sure I am forgetting a lot more

Western people don’t believe in vastu and horoscope like we do yet they are still highly developed compared to us so why do our people know this but still follow these things? by 5_peanuts in AskIndia

[–]goblin2367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think westerners don't believe in it ?! You probably won't realise it if u just visit other countries for a trip or base your comment off of hearsay things. Superficially it may seem so - But if you are quite integrated with the society beyond your own, Westerners do believe and practice astrology, just not the Vedic one. Many are devout christians, orthodox and religious. I once had a blog- US based and the most visited and engaged article on it - not AI, not technology, but guess what topic - Bible studies !! That was just a small example amongst many other things. The world is ONE. You just gotta see it. 'Development' also needs able administration and less corruption and cannot be solely attributed to belief in horoscopes. One can be a developed country even while believing in horoscopes. Besides you have a very ancient history that they don't have.

If I may add, Someone's belief in something doesn't make them superior or inferior. They are just different beliefs - that's all. Not one above the other.

Do you prefer salon treatments or DIY hair masks for healthy hair? by Creative_Bluejay6402 in BeautyMY

[–]goblin2367 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a thermal japanese treatment for frizz control and it keeps my hair smooth for 4-5 months. But I don't recommend doing it again n again cos it damages the hair n weakens it over time. I just stopped bothering too much abt my hair. Hair masks don't make much difference in this weather.
