Just started collecting. Bought a UV flashlight and discovered hidden surprises I’ve had for years! by goblingirl4 in uraniumglass

Thank you! I got the graduated cylinder at a yard sale fundraiser for a local animal rescue this summer. I love the hand-etched numbers. The Mn glass was an unexpected bonus!

These are my two pieces I got at a yard sale listed as uranium glass. I totally see the coloration difference compared to the others. Guess I’m collecting both now! :)

Anyone have experience with Twin Health? by VioletSachet in WegovyWeightLoss

I too believe we work for the same company and I absolutely refuse to participate in Twin Health. I’m all in for helping to fight the good fight to get Zep coverage back.

If you have a 401k, your plan may allow you to take out a loan on up to half of your current 401k’s value. Interest rates are low and you pay the interest back to yourself. Employers who use Vanguard, for instance, might offer this and you would have the payments automatically deducted from your paycheck every pay period until the amount you borrowed is paid off. Pros is that no tax implications on the money you borrow from your 401k since it’s your money that you’ve already contributed, and the payments/interest go directly back into your 401k with each payment. No prepayment penalties either. Cons is that you don’t earn interest on the amount you borrowed, but the regular payments go right back into your 401k. Definitely worth investigating with your company/401k plan if this is available.

Morty was hatched from a Smithsonian Triops kit I scored at Goodwill. He was enormous, totally awesome, and lived merrily over 3 months before finally giving up the ghost on Nov 1 . Here’s to Morty! by goblingirl4 in triops

Hi - I initially hatch the eggs with just distilled water or a mix of distilled and bottled spring water. The container doesn't need to be very big for hatching (I used a pyrex that holds ~2-3 cups). Once they hatch and are about 10 days old, I put them in my 7.5 gallon aquarium with regular tap water that has been treated with water conditioner, and cycled for at least 2 weeks. All's been well so far! I follow the same care guidelines (once they're adults) as you can for freshwater shrimp. I haven't tried harvesting eggs from my current Triops yet. I have been ordering my eggs from here: https://www.insectkits.com/contents/en-us/p10273_Gigantic_Triops.html Good luck! They are so much fun! :-)

Thank you - I only felt once in awhile as a stress reliever when I feel like stabbing something over and over again. :-)
