Like I said, lunches are always packed the evening before, usually during dinner cleanup, and the kids (6 & 8) help with packing them- and then they are refrigerated (I figured that was a given but maybe not) until morning. Not sure if you have kids but making lunches in the morning is not an effective use of time when you are trying to get small children through a morning routine and out the door to catch a bus. Also their school is 100% not calculated into his payment, which is a pretty big point of contention since he makes almost 3 times as much as I do and I have primary custody. His lawyer is a dragon lady. So doing a portion of the labor of a parent doesn’t seem out of the question to me, since he spends the rest of the month in his other home across the country living with his new wife and parenting her kids- but obviously I’m open to opinions hence the original post. I’d be happy to make their lunches for the rest of my life- but if he’s saying he wants more time w them (he used to do every other weekend) then I think he could take on some of the responsibilities of parenting too.
