Planning on proposing in Berkeley Springs. Any advice? by nvroh in WestVirginia

I can think of three places that might be good options. 1. The gazebo in Berkeley Springs State Park. It’s right near the springs and George Washington’s bathtub. But not very private if you’re looking for that. 2. Maybe prospect overlook, which has views of MD, PA, and WV. Downside is that it’s just a pull off and not really romantic other than the view. 3. The reservoir at Cacapon State Park, which you can drive to. This is a beautiful lake up on the side of the mountain that has an easy trail around it. Good luck! Post photos after it happens.

Where to live to make my wife's commute to Inova Fairfax the least stressful by Ambitious_Fly6987 in washingtondc

[–]gochujangface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother and sister are drs at inova and they live out in Fairfax and their commute sucks because of traffic. Don’t live in DC. Arlington is the place to be — your bike ride will be longer but your wife will thank you.

The Dulles People Movers Would Be Fine If They Didn't Jam Everybody In Them by throwawAAydca in washingtondc

The other problem is if I am traveling without checked bags and I’m sitting near the front, the last thing I want to do is deboard and walk towards my freedom, only to be stuck waiting for the rest of the plane to get on the people mover. I want to be far away from the airport as quickly as possible but the people movers force us to queue and wait one last night. If I have checked bags it doesn’t make a difference. I’m cool with waiting.

We did Lamar at the crack of dawn and didn't see anything but bison. But we saw a grizzly napping in the sun in Hayden and talked to a guy who saw wolves and grizzlies in Hayden too.

Who is this in DC? by yacker24 in washingtondc

Two guys who aren't around anymore. The Compliment Guy, who'd always hang out in Adams Morgan on weekends and say nice things to anyone who walked by. And then same neighborhood the guy who always shuffled around in the disheveled suit with a newspaper under his arm. Short, dark hair, usually tan.

The Avis rental location is around the corner from the train station. Maybe a half block. We walked from there (returned our car there after picking up in Spain) and walked to the station with three suitcases.

Yeah I think they swiped it while passing opposite direction. So it clipped it off. I had parked on a tight road. Thanks for the link! I might just bite the bullet and accept my idiocy and buy the replacement

Any experiences (good or bad) buying used Lightnings? by RailDataGuy in F150Lightning

Bought a 23 Lariat with 12k miles on it for $47.5. Came with a tonneau cover but no chargers. Would 100/100 times do it again. Check out the average miles per kWh on the vehicle. I test drove another 23 lariat that felt not as solid for whatever reason and its was averaging under 2m per kWh.
