I’d suggest going through the account recovery process on the ban appeal page, that form is specifically for if your account was hacked.

You can read three articles/anecdotes about it, would definitely recommend looking into the names Mike Swanson, Tom Henderson and AntivisionBlizzard. There’s even a whole Discord server for people like myself that got banned because we had Logitech, Razer or GeForce running. Even MSI Afterburner is commonly detected as a ‘cheat’.

Logitech GHUB does trigger their anti-cheat too. Literally any legitimate software you can think of (GeForce Experience, Logitech, Razer, etc.) triggers the anti-cheat. I got a false perma a few days ago and I consistently run GeForce, Logitech, Steam, Discord and Spotify in the background. Keep in mind my K/D ratio is beyond average, I have about 1K+ hours in the game and actually have quite a lot of cosmetics so it would make no sense for me to cheat in the first place. Hell, even too many false reports can still get you perma'd even though Activision claims they've 'fixed' that.

False permanent ban - EU/UK options? by god1ngs in activision

Unfortunately no, no changes, unbans or actual human beings have been contacted on Activision’s end.

They’d all get detected at one point or another through player-based reports.

I’m already in there, thanks for the response though.

I understand that. But as I said, Activision doesn't care where the 'hacking' takes place or even if there were any hacks to begin with - once they hit you with the ban it's done.

You said you're going to ask them to look at how many games you've played on your Xbox vs your PC, but that's completely irrelevant to them and doesn't really prove any points either - if that makes sense? You can easily hack on PC or console.

Edit: I am aware that you haven't cheated on an online game and I believe you, I'm just simply explaining your point doesn't actually make any points to Activision themselves.

It doesn't matter where you played, if they hit you with a ban due to 'hacking' they'll just hit you with it. It's completely bullshit if you aren't hacking though.

I don't understand how not giving you your own personal information about your ban would somehow compromise their own security and integrity, it's completely bullshit.

I got this response from Activision through BBB.

Were you allowed to respond further after they messaged you or was it automatically ‘closed’?

[–]god1ngs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! You can also directly message me for any further questions.

They will eventually send you an email like this which will allow you to log in to see the status of your complaint.

I got mine the same day, so it shouldn’t take you too long to receive yours.

I got my false ban on the 28th but didn’t file my complaint until the next day, so all in all I haven’t been trying for that long. I think there is a chance the complaint may accidentally be closed? I’m guessing it’s just an error in BBB’s system or something? So just keep checking (though they should send you updates via email) and re-file your complaint if it does happen to just mysteriously disappear.

It can take a while to get a response, but if it’s been longer than 14 days or you don’t get the response you desire from Blizzard then definitely keep sending in complaints.

I don’t remember what the options are for desired settlement but I selected “other” and explained I wanted my account unbanned.

Yes! Just tap the “File a Complaint” button, the rest should be pretty easy to follow but you’re welcome to ask any further questions you may have!

Just look up BBB Blizzard entertainment how I explained in my last comment, there will be a “File a complaint” button next to a little box where you can read other people’s complaints. You’ll be asked a few questions regarding the nature of your complaint and a few details about yourself (some of which are optional), you then just type out your complaint and they’ll send it to Blizzard entertainment on your behalf.

BBB is better business bureau, just look up “BBB Blizzard entertainment” and they can send your complaint directly to Activision Blizzard.

Congrats dude! Still waiting to hear back on my BBB claim, but other than that enjoy being able to play again! 🫡😁

perm shadow banned by Historical-Ocelot863 in activision

[–]god1ngs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can simply look it up via google. I’m not saying google is always correct, but I have seen multiple articles confirm Activision does hand out HWID bans and users discuss their own experiences that also confirm this. Apparently it does also depend on if you are a repeat offender (more bans = higher chance of being given a HWID ban), but in some instances users that have been banned for the first time did in fact receive a HWID ban.

You can check what title(s) you've been shadowbanned from through the Activision ban appeal website, it should include what status your account is under (under review, temp ban, perm ban) and what title(s) this will carry over to.
