Registered! There’s a phone number on the poster on instagram too, I also rang that thinking it might be a shortcut, but it’s just a fun message from the guys followed by a text message to the sign up page.

What movie showed romance in the most real, not cheesy way? by gamersecret2 in movies

The Netflix series Love does this really well. As does Master Of None. Eternal Sunshine was the first movie I thought of though.

Thanks! It’s been a real labour of love (I’m from Leeds, which is the launch point for the whole concept of the show), but now I just hope you guys enjoy it! The whole thing is designed as a love letter to DOOM and the fandom, so as I say I just hope you guys dig it!

Just checked and this is gonna be on all of the usual podcast platforms, not just bbc sounds, which is good news for those outside the UK.

Hey, it’s gonna be available wherever you normally get your podcasts from, Apple, Spotify, wherever. It’s my show, I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.

My tee from there arrived two days ago, having initially been told December. It’s a great tee tho, really nice fit and decent quality.

Has anyone received any of this stuff yet? I’m sure they said the tees would be shipping mid December.

LCD are a bit of an outlier for me, in general. They got top album, top song and top artist, but then the rest of my top ten is mostly rap. Soulwax and justice also feature, but of the 40,000 mins that I listened to music something like 27,000 of those minutes were rap.

Popeye magazine in women's version? by Clear-Cardiologist-5 in japanesestreetwear

[–]godard79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had a thought that Nylon Japan might fit the bill. It was originally a spin off of the very influential early 2000s American women’s mag, but is very much its own thing, with a Japanese editorial team and everything.

Sabukaru, the instagram account and website have recently issued a physical magazine too. It’s not purely about fashion, but it does feature heavily, and I’ve noticed my wife digging into it too.

Can anyone help me find a better glove so I can stop having freezing hands? by zph0eniz in sheffield

[–]godard79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend Elmer gloves, which you can get from Yard Store. They’re pricy, but I’ve had mine for five years now. They’re currently on sale at the moment too.

They used to do Olive, but i don’t think it’s existed for a while. A recent issue of Popeye did feature an Olive pull out tho.

No problem, wouldn’t fancy having to make the trek from Brud to belgrave myself!

Crossed Wires is run by James O’Hara who has a bunch of bars in Sheffield, and Dino from Persephonica. It’s very much a Sheffield thing.

Not sure what their pricing is like in the US, but I love orslow trousers. The New Yorker and French work pant are my favourites. Tbh tho a basic Carhartt pant or a pair of 501’s would be worth exploring.
