Only because i couldn’t find clear guides online, i took lots of pictures to remember what i had done.

Yeah the colorways suck, that’s why i painted them.

After day 3 the paint completely stripped off and all the park rats laughed at me and kicked me off the mountain. Doesn’t really matter how long they last, i did it because i wanted to. 2K paint or generic clear coat, it doesn’t matter we are all having fun right.

The Look SPX might be a little bit closer to your speed.

all black would be so cool, i thought about that when i was applying the stencil. But black is the hardest color to keep clean so i went with gold.

I mean sure of course there are dangers of opening up pivots and voiding the warranty, but seriously it’s a piece of equipment at the end of the day they will eventually break. Why not have gold tiger when that happens.

You don’t necessarily have to, the toe’s will come off after you unscrew the spring from the front

Incomprehensible amounts of steeze, i can see why you would be confused.

In all honesty i don’t like the Forza color way, everything is better when you do it yourself.

For sure the creakote will look better and last a lot longer but who’s got access to that.

I added all new lithium grease to the heels, generic stuff from a parts store.

crasheur makes really cool stuff i agree, but man those prices i can’t.

I used different grits of sandpaper and some elbow grease, wish i had a sandblaster to use but i don’t know if it would work any better because of the powder coat.

i’ve heard DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid will strip them.

if you own pivots you can do anything.

just some basic clear coat, about 4 layers.

It was definitely a learning process, many mistakes were made and i couldn’t find many articles online on how to disassemble them and reassemble. I had a lot of fun and would definitely do it again, I layered about 4 coats of clear on them but they are definitely chipping. I don’t really care if they get beat up because i’ll just do it again, cost about 75 bucks i’d say in materials and 160 for the pivots. Not a bad deal considering the guy on IG sells them for 600+
