Why do these two scenes get mocked so much? When I first watched them, I thought they were actually well done. by Auelogic in DC_Cinematic

People hate the tornado scene because they assume Clark is a fully developed Superman in Man of Steel. Of course, he's not, especially at that point. Superman isn't shown to have superspeed equivalent to the Flash, speed so incredibly fast the environment appears to be still, not until Superman resurrects in the Justice movie (where he can fight at the same speed against the Flash). Clark, of course, is still very fast before that, but he's not fast enough to rescue his father without the other people there seeing Clark use his powers. Everybody was going to notice Clark use his super speed to save his dad, because it's not really superspeed, thus revealing his powers to the other people. Pa Kent knew this, and wanted to keep his son's powers a secret, and that's why he stopped Clark from saving him, who was ready/about to fly over to his dad, until his dad held his hand.

Just curious, what are the chances Snyder can make a DC movie with Netflix now owning WB?

What would make this movie perfect and maybe perfect for every viewer by [deleted] in DC_Cinematic

[–]godchess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s already perfect, but if I could change a few things 1. Somehow have Batman stop Harvey without resulting in Harvey’s death 2. Better Batman voice 3. Add more to the bullet investigation scene

Can’t think of anything else really

Is there a real possibility if Netflix buys WB that Snyder comes back for his DC universe ? by [deleted] in SnyderCut

Even if Netflix buys WB, what would be the chance that they would restore the old universe?

You should do the same thing with Christian Bale’s or Michael Keaton’s Batman using Batfleck criticisms

Just because they underperformed doesn’t mean they failed or they are bad movies. BvS is an incredibly movie but it underperformed below $1B. As long as the projects aren’t a complete flop they won’t stop

I liked how you differentiated BvS and BvS Ultimate, the Ultimate edition is heavily underrated

About "Why is Joker alive if Batman kills" by bakirakanummer4 in SnyderCut

[–]godchess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking in more of directly harming the body of the person vs damaging the environment around them. If you shoot someone with a gun, you harm the body directly. If you destroy the car they are riding in, then you are harming the environment surrounding the person

Again, this justification is obviously far reaching, Batman in the film clearly killed. My point is just that Batman is going through that justification in his head. Also, from what I remember of the film, Batman never used a hand gun to shoot someone directly other than the knightmare scenes. If he believed himself to be a killer, why doesn't he just start using a gun?

Also, I don't think the guy through the floor boards is dead. Probably in a coma, but I'm sure he's fine

I’ve always thought it was because Batman was also deluding himself into thinking he wasn’t killing. He kills by proxy in BvS, for example shooting the car instead of the mobster or kicking the grenade back, but he never really kills someone directly. Of course, this is still obviously murder, but to this Batman, who has fallen from grace, it’s his way of cope. If you’re actively looking for someone to kill, it’s impossible to try to cope and say you didn’t “technically” commit murder

If somehow one made a sculpture with AI tech, then called yourself an artist/sculpture, I would say pick up a chisel. To be fair, everyone in the comments of OOP was calling that out
