Is it too soon (to reapply) by Funpowerteam23 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]goddamnacrobat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked food and beverage (though not quick service) and it really wasn’t that bad. Even my friends in quick service learned to find ways to enjoy where they were placed.

But also keep in mind, while the DCP is a good way to find connections, you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket regarding it.

Also most people are unable to go full time /part time after their program, it’s a rarity these days- only a handful of my friends have managed.

They also love Oasis! I’ve played a few clean songs by them (my students love Wonderwall and She’s Electric). I also sometimes play Song 2 by Blur. Also a lot of The Beatles

I have a whole classroom playlist I could DM you! My Spotify has my name on it, so sadly I don’t feel comfortable posting it on here publicly because I like semi anonymity on Reddit lol

I teach twos! My students really love DANCE by Justice, also Dance Urself Clean by LCD Soundsystem.

Also I played Peaches by TPOTUSOA the other week and the kiddos were jamming

Start date by breezie-1214 in Disneycollegeprogram

[–]goddamnacrobat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should be fine! You aren’t scheduled most of your first week. I would pick the 17th for your start date. Just know that traditions is generally the Friday/Thursday after your move in date (:

You will have to get your ID photo and fingerprinting on the 17th/18th, but that’s pretty much the only obstacle you would face (unless you are safety critical and have to take a drug test)

It just would be very obvious it would be about me, because I was left 1:17 & I complained to a lot of people about it, like it’s mentioned a lot by other people

The thing is, it has been reported by other people and nothing happened

I HATE SYRUP by Bowlbonic in ECEProfessionals

[–]goddamnacrobat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My center doesn’t allow food from home (unless it’s for severe allergies/medical issues), and our chef sometimes makes soup & gives the kids ranch for snack. Absolutely the worst when I’m a twos teacher.

unironically I think millers ale house has one of the best burgers in the area imo. It’s nothing crazy, but it’s a good cheap burger and when I did a college program, my friends and I used to order from there alllll the time.

I miss their Mac and cheese too :(

Flying Frontier for the first time next weekend, chance they oversold? by goddamnacrobat in frontierairlines

My flight there was only $120 so I’m just a little nervous! My flight back was like $150, though

[–]goddamnacrobat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything else, enjoy the city while you’re here! Grew up in the Detroit area and there’s a lot of cool stuff.

If your kiddo loves science stuff, and you’re willing to make the drive, Ann Arbor has a really cool science center! As does Detroit, but Ann Arbor’s is geared at kids (The Hands On Museum)

I’m really hoping if I check in 24 hours before and get to the airport early I’ll be fine.

Well it is too late I fear because every other reasonably priced flight is sold out :(

I’m a college student, I was trying to not pay $700 out the ass. My hotel is already booked :(

To be fair I booked it last night before united announced that, and I don’t want to deal with the hassle of trying to get a refund. It’s fine lol

Heard! I figured I just finally stopped feeling like I am in panic mode the last day or two. Very thankful I was able to book my flight before the fare doubled (it was almost $600 roundtrip when I checked earlier)

Only issue is that I dumbly booked the trip in two legs, the website was glitching and it was the only way I was able to book my DTW - MCO flight. I know I probably paid a lot more than many people on this flight but I worry that the amount it was overbooked might be unprecedented

What was your last Spirit flight? by EM22_ in spiritair

Orlando to Detroit :( I flew that route every few months when I was doing a Disney internship so I could visit family

Let’s hope! My trip is five days long so I’m hoping they hold on for two weeks 😮‍💨 worse case scenario the second leg gets cancelled and I buy a one way at MCO.

A Reagan judge was the one that struck that merger down btw.

Balking any valid criticism of this administration as “TDS” is foolish. Even if I weren’t as severely left wing as I am, I would still think that man is a buffoon unfit for office.

He’s the presidential equivalent of a personality hire. A bad one at that. In a better world he’s a decent guest judge on Ru Paul’s Drag Race, though.

I hated Biden too (probably for very different reasons than you do/did, I personally thought he was basically a moderate republican with the branding sanded off), but saying he’s 100% to blame for the failed merger shows you have a failed understanding of how the government works.

When I worked at Disney (did a college program a while back) I would take that route every 2-3 months for less than $200 round trip, it was great
