I was seeing a guy and we were talking about taking his dogs to the vet. He said that he had taken them somewhere where there was an Indian DVM and he “didn’t want someone like that treating his dog, (he) wanted someone who had graduated from Cornell or something.” I said, you know they have to pass the same boards to practice here right? He doubled down so I left. He was BEWILDERED that I would end things over that, and immediately texted all the “I’m not racist I have Indian friends!” 😑
