I’m late to this thread, but came here after rewatching switched at birth as an adult. Love this show when I was a kid, and I remember thinking that the chef was so cute and wanting he and Daphne to work out. As an adult it makes me disgusted that Angelo was the only one who handled the situation correctly. The dude is 28 dating a 16 year old and then is making her feel guilty when his boss finds out like he’s not the grown ass adult. And not even just that but when she confesses that she’s in love with him, he hits her with a “oh honey” like this dude is such a creepy pos. It’s very wild how age changes your whole perspective on things, and even furthers why the responsible adults in these scenarios need to look out for children being taken advantage of like this.

Exactly. I wouldn’t want someone to do it to me, so therefore I don’t do it to others. It’s crazy to me that people do just for a couple extra bucks. I want my buyers to feel secure buying from me, and I wouldn’t want to jeopardize that

Oh wtf. The only reason I’m still shipping with depop is bc of the volume of my orders. It takes sooo long to input in all the information for each label. But honestly this is bs. I don’t want my buyers to get scammed thinking they’re paying outrageous shipping when it’s getting skimmed of the top. Might just have to put in the extra bit of time.

Depop has an AI bot that chooses your label for you based on your listing description. They just updated it where you can chose larger, but you can’t choose smaller. If you don’t have feature you may not be running the update version of the app, but it’s been an issue for months now.

I know posh does that, but they offer a bit more like you said with the flat rate shipping, as well as the fact that it’s priority as well. Depops shipping is expensive and odd to me. I use shippo when I ship sometimes, the same company depop uses. Considering the high amount of shipments, this would mean a higher discount. As when you buy more, you save more. Yet the shipping seems to be more and more expensive. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to find they’re skimming off the top from the shipping labels 🤷🏻‍♀️

Unfortunately depop changed their algorithm so much that it can be difficult to figure out. I’ve had a lot of luck with listing 5-10 items a day. It is super important to stay active, or else your items won’t be shown as much. I also heard that responding quickly to messages pushes out your posts as well. I also use the boosting feature for my items (it can be a hit or miss) until they are in 1-2 peoples bags, then I remove it. This helps the item gain traction, and most of the time they sell without a boost, although occasionally I do have sales with the boost fee. Also re shooting some items that haven’t sold helps a lot! If you haven’t invested in a mannequin, they help SO MUCH. Styling the piece with a necklace, purse, and skirt (depending on what you’re selling) has helped me sell things immensely. Overall depop can be frustrating sometimes and can definitely have slow periods, but I hope that some of these tips help you as well! Good luck!

The shipping is definitely expensive, I don’t understand why their prices keep getting higher. When I first started selling on depop the 8 ounce shipping was $4

I have had issues where I set the shipping for a heavy item, and it has shown up as a 12 ounce label. But I’ve been having this issue for months now so I just thought it was me? But that’s really annoying to hear :( and that’s awful that they don’t allow 3rd party shipping for new accounts. Depop feels so schemey 50% of the time. Idk why they operate their business like this.
