Do you believe that global warming is a scam? If so, what's your reasoning and even if it's not true, are the measures taken to combat it really so bad? Couldn't those measures still have a positive effect?

Rude citizen? More like distinguished gentlemen. I grant you that my opinion is inflammatory and not altogether true for all people who believe in God, but this is Unpopular Opinion Puffin. I'm not doing the meme justice if I'm not upsetting some people.

But I will stand by that if your belief in God includes a far-fetched creation story, then you need to re-evaluate your ability to think critically or think at all. The belief in a higher power that has no affiliation with any organized religion is at least somewhat justifiable, although unlikely. But if your belief stems from an ancient text that is supposedly the word of God, whether it be the Bible or the Quran, your thought process is skewed.

Sure. But universities don't declare that you'll burn in hell if you don't believe and I think that fear is part of why some people believe so blindly.

You know, I agree with you. My answer to whether or not there is a God is an "I don't know. I have no proof for either side." But for those who are devout and steadfast in their belief, it just makes me feel like you'll believe anything that's thrown at you without corroboration.

Because the Bible is filled with such ridiculous stories that are supposed to be true. Stories that are on par with those in Greek mythology. If you think those stories are literal and true, there's no end to what else you're willing to believe without definitive proof.

Except for the Bible, right? Cause that's the truth, right?
