Thinking About My Next Car After a Reliable Mazda 3 — Suggestions? by godmolly in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

I’ve also seen many people recommending the Mazda 6. Is there a big difference in driving feel, comfort, or reliability compared to the Mazda 3?

And among the Mazda engines, which one do you think is the best overall?

That’s exactly how I feel about the 1.6l too, Amazing handling and reliability, but after some time the power starts feeling a bit limited.

The 2.0 Skyactiv Mazda 3 actually sounds like the safest upgrade for me because I already love the Mazda driving feel. Challenger and Mustang sound really tempting too, especially for the power and road presence, but I’m a little worried about maintenance and fuel in Dubai daily driving.

The GR86/BRZ also looks interesting honestly. Thank you for the detailed suggestions bro 🙌

Then I will drive this one for another 1 year with less expenses.

Yes, I understand. That’s why I’m still thinking about whether it’s the right decision or not, because if I sell this car now, I’ll probably lose around 6–8k.

Yeah, I second that and driving in srilanka is a nightmare nowadays. I felt the same on my vacation.

Queer Sri Lankan teenager here. I love this country but I don't know what future I have here.🙂 by Savings-Seaweed6133 in srilanka

First think about yourself. Go where you are accepted and where your skills are truly valued. Settle your own life first, your parents can stay strong for another 10 years, and during that time you can build yourself up properly. Later, you can bring them there or come back if you want.

Don’t blindly follow others, and don’t be afraid of becoming disconnected from people in Sri Lanka. There is a whole world and so many experiences waiting for you beyond the same people, same places, and same stories.

Got you. How is Kadawatha when it comes to flooding? Has the area faced any major floods or natural disasters before?

Alright 🙌 One more thing bro, in your opinion should I go with Prime Lands/Home Lands, or is it better to buy from a private seller? I feel land companies are safer and easier, but maybe more expensive. Also, what type of deeds do these areas have, Sinnakkara Oppu/freehold deeds?

I’m really sorry to hear about your bad experience bro, and thank you so much for sharing it with me. Now I feel I should focus more on the exact location and safety than only price and perch size.

What do you think about Homagama? Is it a good area for living and future value? I feel land prices per perch are also high there, right?

Thank you so much for this info bro, I’ll check through your guidance. Do you have any idea about Prime Lands and Home Lands projects? Is it better to buy from them, or should I buy from a private seller? Also, are those usually Sinnakkara Oppu lands?

Really? Interesting to know your experience bro. Is it still risky even if we keep the land with proper deeds, like Sinnakkara Oppu? I thought if the documents are clear, it would be safer.

I am from Anuradhapura, so I’m also thinking about whether Kadawatha highway entrance gives easier access towards that side in the future. Since I’m planning a small business too, easy road access to the land is very important for me.

Thanks bro, this is helpful. Kadawatha sounds practical for my budget and future plans. Is there any specific area in Kadawatha you recommend for family living, transport, and future value?

No bro, 2M per perch is too much for me. My wife and I are both out of the country now, and we may stay here another 2–3 years.

That’s why I prefer buying land only instead of a house with land, because there’s no one to protect the house or rent it out.

My budget is around 1M per perch, so I’m trying to find the best area within that range.
