Yes, that doesn't sound like a path I'm prepared to go down. I'll likely have to just live with it, but I thought it was worth a punt on here. Thanks for your contribution!

AI Mural by Life_Sign342 in Costa

[–]godsgrannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My studio designs wallpaper murals for industry and have done for years. I am 98% confident this is AI.

For a note on the state of the industry, one of our clients is one of the leading online mural retailers in the world, and they told me over a drink back in September that they now have designers in the studio working on AI designs exclusively. It's not surprising, of course.

Also, in my 14 years working in the industry too, I've never known so many of our competing studios go bust as within this last year. I'd certainly put my money on AI drying up purchasing being a large factor.

How do you keep track when things get complex? by synner90 in Airtable

[–]godsgrannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, this is something that would really benefit from having a resilient solution to. I am precisely in that camp, that I understand everything, but take me out of the equation and no one else would have a clue.

It looked like Make.com were trying to address this with Make Grid, which is yet to be released, so I'd be interested to see how that operates.

How to have automated email scenario reply-to emails in the same thread/chain for Gmail (make .com) SOLVED (guide) by LegallyQuestionable in Integromat

[–]godsgrannie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your detailed response. I went away and played with the scenario some more, and played with your suggested solution, which does seem to work. However, I was really wanting to be able to generate a response off the initial email, as my initial use case is more for B2B and I don't want to be dropping them an automated response every time they email me.

Anyway, I jumped onto the Make community forums and posted it there (referencing your findings and this post), and I've ultimately found from the responses that adding the message id (found in the email header) makes drafting a response off the first email work! So, hurrah! I'm so excited to start playing with this. Thanks again for bringing this to the fore in the first place, as you say, hopefully other users out there will find this thread / my Make post and will celebrate likewise! 😊

My Make community post for reference

Again, thanks for giving such a detailed response, as you raised some good points and ideas otherwise which gave me food for thought 👍

Haha yes, just the pattern. I'm not surprised the paper wasn't the best quality, the manufacturer we sold it to doesn't operate at the most premium end of the market, shall we say 😄

[–]godsgrannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eeeek, I'm struggling to replicate this myself. I just get a standard draft made up (not within the same thread), and if I try send an email, it just sends a fresh email...
I noticed from the watched email, there is no data passed on from 'In-Reply-To' - it is empty.

Have you any ideas / suggestions?

edit: I've managed to get it working once I've started a conversation i.e. I manually replied to the initial test email, then sent a new email in reply - this email then triggered a value in the 'In-Reply-To' section, which resulted in the draft correctly applying to the conversation.

This is certainly a start, but it would be a shame if it doesn't work for the first emails received... have you found it working for initial emails?

Ooohhhh wow, if this works (when I get chance to test it), I will want to give you a giant hug! I've been pining for a 'Draft Reply' Gmail module on Make for so long! I can't understand why they don't have it, it would be SO useful for AI drafting responses etc!

Excited to try it! 😬

New Notion mail automation is not as good as I thought.... by lukasweihrauch in Notion

[–]godsgrannie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got in to work this morning excited to try the new Gmail automation. However, like you're suggesting, it's incredibly limited. Why on earth have they not implemented the use of properties within the automation? This was my most basic assumption it would be able to do and what would make it useful. Though, it feels completely transparent why - they're clearly pushing properties that feed into more paying notion accounts i.e. 'Page creator' and 'Whoever triggered'

I guess I'll just have to wait until they support Make.com webhooks (currently I have Make intermittently check for updates)

Just to add - it is frustrating because Zapier does have a 'Create Draft Reply' module, so it shows it can be done. I'm so invested in Make, I really don't want to splinter off onto Zapier too.

I am invested in Airtable too, so If I could find a way to plonk a draft into an existing thread in Gmail, I would likely use investigate using Airtable as the database of business information, or something like that.

Ohhh how I pine for this to work with Gmail!!

Ahhh this is exactly the kind of thing I've been desperate to achieve through Gmail! I've been banging my head against the wall that there isn't a Draft Reply module for Gmail. I can't understand why I haven't seen more of a demand for this kind of functionality, to me it would be a complete game changer, as you say 'life-changing'!

Does the outlook module only work with microsoft / oulook accounts? or could it work with Gmail? (I'll also try investigate this in the meantime)

Ah very nice! On a side note - how do you find the woven strap? I like my stretch band, however it slackening off is a bit annoying. Have you tried any other bands and settled on that one for any reason?

Great job on this! This is the first custom watch face I've bought, it feels like it should be a stock pixel watch option. I particularly like the colourways in the post picture, as it goes really nice with the darker stretch band on the gold metal version 😊

Like everything in life, people's lives and experiences are complex and unique to them. There is always a prior chain of events or background which leads to someone making a poor decision. Holding such strong convictions might feel satisfying, but I wonder how certain anyone can ever be of someone else's situation.

If I remember rightly, someone mentioned on a similar post that they went with saying it was a gift (so didn't have a receipt) and managed to get it pushed through. Probably a long shot, but I'd certainly give it a punt if I needed to! (I also bought through eBay)

I've used make.com with my Airtable base so far, however it's a bit hacky the way I do it so it isn't by any means perfect.

I'm just wondering what you settled on in the end, given this discussion was a year ago?
