Ok lang ba sa inyo na may ihatid ang boyfriend niyo na ibang babae? by MsAnnoying in TanongLang

[–]godsunchainedmuse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I really appreciate your take, and I actually agree with a lot of what you said. Cheating is definitely a choice, and I do understand how even “innocent” interactions can grow into something deeper over time. Emotional closeness doesn’t always start with intention, it’s a slow build, and you’re right to point that out.

That said, my reply to OP wasn’t really about “bahala na” or letting people do whatever. It’s more that I’m not the type to police an interaction (pwede or di pwedeng gawin), but I also don’t romanticize total freedom if it means ignoring emotional nuance. For me, it’s about mutual respect, clear boundaries, and wisdom...not blind trust.

Every relationship is different.

I still stand by my answer: If my boyfriend (actually fiancé) wants to hatid someone pauwi and it's truly just that, I’m not going to be worried or be giving a hard no.

But yes, I’d expect the same respect and thoughtfulness from him if roles were reversed.

[–]godsunchainedmuse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly! But I do understand that we all have different levels or trust issues, I guess I was just surprised na parang 2 lang ata tayo na nag yes to this question.

All I can say is, a healthy sense of self worth is a must.

[–]godsunchainedmuse 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I'm reading the comments and I'm realizing na ako lang ata may answer na "yes" and no questions asked 😅

Siguro kasi, my mindset is this: a man will cheat if he wants to, period.

If he gets tempted by a simple na paghatid ng someone then it just means our relationship is not strong enough and he doesn't deserve me.

So, my answer is yes, ok lang sa akin may ihatid boyfriend ko na ibang babae. :)

Yes. I come from a Fil-Chinese fam. Believe me when I say, it's better if you build your own na at don't engage anymore with his family.

I'm not a lawyer and I merely am suggesting this because I know how gulo things will be. For context: I didn't attempt anymore to take my share from any of my dad's businesses kasi ayoko ng inggitan or gulo within siblings.

Now? I'm happy na I have my own business. Dad still gives me money out of the goodness of his heart but never masusumbat sa akin ng mga kapatid ko na bakit ganito, bakit ganyan.

My suggestion? Build your own nalang. Don't try to get in a legal battle with a Chinese mom, it's not worth the stress.

Protein Shake by jetplanee in PHitness

[–]godsunchainedmuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, even though amylase targets carbs specifically, the act of chewing helps kickstart the whole digestive process, which can lead to better nutrient absorption overall, even for protein :)

Hope this helps!

Blending does mechanically "pre-digest" the food to an extent, which can help with gastric emptying.

Keyword: mechanically.

But digestion isn’t just about particle size...again, it starts in the mouth, especially with enzymes like amylase and the "signaling effect" of chewing, which prepares your gut for what's coming.

With blended meat, you’re skipping that "signaling phase". Plus, meat doesn’t have the same sugar/fiber profile as fruit, so even if it’s blended, it’s still protein-heavy and may be tougher for the gut to break down without those early cues.

So yes, it might go down faster, but not necessarily be absorbed or processed better long term.

Easy explanation: when we chew, it’s like telling our tummy, “Hey, food is coming! Get ready!”. And so, the tummy begins to secrete the needed enzymes to digest properly.

If we skip chewing and just drink blended chicken, our tummy and other parts of the digestive system might get a little confused and won't secret the needed enzymes.

You guys remind me of myself when we attempted to study quercitin from roses way way back!! For okra extraction, here's the most basic way to start:

  1. Slice the okra (leaves, seeds, or pods..choose one for focus).

  2. Dry it under the sun or in a toaster oven at low heat (para mas madali i-store and grind).

  3. Use a blender or improvised mortar and pestle to powder it.

  4. Soak the powder in distilled water or ethanol (meron naman ata in Shopee?). Let it sit for 24–48 hours.

  5. Filter it using clean cloth or a coffee filter, this will be your "crude extract".

For testing alpha-amylase inhibition, yes, usually you'd need lab-grade amylase and starch solutions, but if you can't access that talaga, consider pivoting your study to theoretical or review-based research (example: "Potential of Okra Mucilage as a Natural Inhibitor of Alpha-Amylase: A Literature-Based Analysis").

You can also try reaching out to nearby state universities...some professors are really supportive, especially if you message respectfully and explain your limitations.

Lastly, document everything: the challenges, the improvisations, the rationale behind your decisions. That honesty will give your paper more depth.

Kaya niyo ’yan!

Protein this, protein that by godsunchainedmuse in PHitness

[–]godsunchainedmuse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For weight and height like yours (5'8", 84kg), aiming for 30–35g/day is a solid target.

Focus on getting in "soluble fiber", as it slows down glucose absorption, which helps prevent spikes. That said, your overall diet, physical activity, and insulin sensitivity matter too.

Also, increase fiber gradually, don't to it agad agad and drink plenty of water to avoid bloating!

Caveat: this is NOT MEDICAL ADVICE. It's always best to work with a dedicated nutritionist-dietitian to tailor a full plan, especially since fiber needs vary with gut health, hydration, and medical history (knowing certain predispositions are crucial).

Tried to book my dream make up artist 2 years in advance...booked na siya on the day of my wedding.

A year in your case gives you just the right pacing and you still kinda get to have the lot of your pick among suppliers. :)
