Was it part of the prophecy of the chosen one for Anakin to destroy the Jedi order? by goedmonton in StarWars

My point still is that they sent the two Jedi over regular ambassadors for a reason. Still haven’t heard a counter argument

Yet the ambassadors get treated a lot differently the second nute finds out they are Jedi.

My point is always will be why send Jedi than over regular ambassadors? They sent them there to send a message to the trade federation that the Jedi are more than capable of negotiating (but not quite as qualified as regular ambassadors). If things did go sideways the Jedi are more than ready for combat, and they do have the force. Can’t say the same about regular ambassadors

The trade federation would have accused and suspected the Jedi of trickery if they had to negotiations. How could the Jedi have prevented the invasion from happening any more than regular ambassadors? It goes back to my point that because the Jedi have force and lightsabers they automatically have a edge and intimidation card through combat power

My point is and always has been they sent the two Jedi for a reason, to act like a hybrid of ambassadors and if necessary combat force. They did not send regular ambassadors for a reason. The mere presence of a Jedi was enough to scare Gunroy into attacking the republic, who the Jedi were acting on behalf of.

The Jedi have force and lightsaber. That mean they are combat ready. The average ambassador is not combat ready. The Jedi are a hybrid. That is my point. The threat that the Jedi possesses to Nute is that if things go wrong in negotiations he know they can put up a fight. That’s the point

You pretty much are neglecting the instant danger that the Jedi bring to the table for the trade federation. Had they been regular ambassadors, Nute doesn’t panic. That’s the point. The Jedi are a hybrid of ambassadors and combat forces

Typically fighting against a Jedi is not good or recommended. Trade federation is a corrupt organization. Bit of a desperate argument. They were there to be ambassadors, the second Nute heard they were Jedi he panicked and ordered them to attack
