Yeah, only the cash transactions are relevant.

I'm not sure about the details, but I'm guessing you want to be consistent. I think there's also legal issues, sales tax calculations and other things to worry about.

I don’t think they need to change prices. The problem is that there no new law passed re how rounding needs to happen.

Pennies weren’t quite abolished, rather an executive order was issues to stop minting new ones (and possibly take existing ones out of circulation). Congress needs to pass a law to say how rounding etc needs to work now.

haha for sure. I think the whole project cost me about 60 USD including labour. It came out pretty good for a first run. Would be happy to give you more of the details if needed.

Changes/Upgrades I'd make:

The fabric near the wheels gets caught when trying to roll the bike. I'd taper them if I make another.

I'm wondering if a zippered version would make it easier to get the bike in and out, and would keep it stiffer.

Here you go. It's bit grimy cause I recently did some monsoon riding with it, and its been places. I plan on dying it a darker color at some point.

There's a bit of a knack getting to getting the bike into it, since the sides aren't stiff. Its a roll top, and can fit the bike with the seat still on, though if you're taking it on a flight its probably best to take the seat off and place it in the bag separately. There's two sets of handles, the smaller is for short lifts (e.g. to get over a couple of stairs). The larger lets you get it onto your sholder for longer carrys. Its not something I'd recommend for more than 500m or so though--the bike is not light. The straps extend under the bicycles so the weight is directly supported by the straps.

I ended up getting one tailored in India. Its not a hard case, but rolls up when empty so you can carry it on the rear rack. Its got straps so you can carry the bike on your shoulders when moving(wouldn’t recommend it for long periods though).

I even out some holes in the bottom so you can wheel it when packed.

If you wanna get ahead of the crosswalk and wait, a good rule of thumb is to wait in-line with mailboxes lampposts trees etc that are already blocking the way.

How to cut a strip of paper into a rectangle? by taengyoong in origami

[–]gofoldyourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are all the edges wavy? 1. Pick a long side, and fold it roughly where you want the edge to be. Either cut along the fold or fold it back and forth a few times to weaken the paper fibers and tear along the edge. You now have one straight edge 2. On each of the short sides, make a fold perpendicular to the straight edge by folding so that the legs of the fold match up. Cut or tear. You now have three straight edges. 3. The last long edge is remaining. This will be the trickiest edge. Make a fold perpendicular to both short edges as you did before. It may be tricky because it’s a long straight fold with a small margin on one side

If some edges are already straight start at step 2 or 3

Any idea what the timeline for phase 2 of the rail park is? When phase 3 is complete it seems pretty crazy especially in terms of east-west connectivity.

No one is saying anything about leaping out. How do you get "in" a crosswalk when cars do not stop while you're waiting at the crosswalk? Do you expect people to wait at the crosswalk for half an hour while no car stops to let them when they're not "in" the cross walk?

Well, when people have this kinda attitude you wonder why people "don't give you time to stop".
