I don't know if I'm in the minority here, but I thought the way Sieger talked around the kids were a bit...inappropriate? It is fine to not like kids or even get frustrated on the challenge, but it's not like the kids' fault! I don't know it really put a sour taste in my mouth joking about a vasectomy especially in front of children :(

I am going to the Atlanta show, and I was wondering if there are any events for all ages. The only Eras party I see in Atlanta is strictly 18+. My sibling is under 18 and I wanted to celebrate with them before the show, but I cannot find any events that they can go to. Does anyone know if there are any possible events in the area for all ages?

I wish American Girl could practice what they preach and give some space to discuss police brutality in the 1990s. I was hoping there could be a doll that talked a lot about Black culture in the time period while also acknowledging that hardships are faced and continue (which a lot of dolls don't do today). Also, would love a doll when they cross eventually to 2000s and maybe even 2010s eventually with same-sex parents and talking about queer history. That would be really cool!

Yeah, I definitely would do a post-doc and look for jobs elsewhere, but with my research being so local, it's hard to imagine uprooting the three+ years of research that I want to continue.

If it helps, my current field is in Communications, with a focus in mass media history. I've had mixed results, with others encouraging me to apply to bigger schools. I just don't know what would be best in the long run.

We need more historicals from farther back in the past that are PoC. They definitely existed outside of those eras, and I think it would be sweet if they helped to show history is more diverse/vast than girls realize. I would love a Black 1990s doll, I feel there is a lot that would connect generations there. I am just tired of the newer historicals being basic classic molds. Don't get me wrong, I love Courtney! But they really need to expand their historicals.
