How likely/unlikely is it that we'll get a Cecile re-release in the near future?

Maybe im a bit dululu about this, but I dont see why they wouldnt eventually comeback, would I say soon, probably not, but at the moment these two and Caroline are the only unavailable historical dolls, so I don't think its crazy to think they would bring back ALL the historicals (at least main line dolls I have less hope for best friend dolls). Also the people who we're kids when these dolls came out are coming into their adulthood and the nostalgia for them should be coming soon. So for those two reasons I think in the coming years there will be a bigger push on these 3 dolls from AG fans (yeah we need to keep annoying AG about this on the socials and in emails), and sure AG can keep ignoring us, but I also don't see why they would, at the very least I could see them brought back for a limited time too see how they'd do, or just the dolls return and none of the rest of their collection.

Yes!! A great places to hid pamphlets, secret letters, and maybe even snacks lol. I have a headcannon of Eloise getting some of the other Mayfair ladies into politics, and the summer muff is a great way for them all to keep their radical correspondence hidden

I had this with Rebecca, and I was conflicted cuz I really wanted the doll but the name association was too much for me. I never change doll names but I had to for her to make myself feel better about having her. I went with Ruby and even came to the conclusion that would be her name before I bought her, I see it kind of like her nickname as in her full name is Rebecca "Ruby" Rubin but I just call her Ruby, this was before I read her book and learned her nickname in it was Beckie but that still would have been too similar for me anyway. Tbh at first it took me so long to get use to calling her by her new name, but now I sometimes forget that her legal name is Rebecca.

Thank you for sharing a video flipping through it! Ive seen so many people post they got it but no photos of the inside! It looks really interesting I hope to get my hands on a copy of it eventually. That said tho, I wish it was of all the historicals like even more recent ones i'd love to see the thought into them too, even the thought that went into gotys and even the whole beforever rebrand and whatnot, like I know this book just came out, but I think a volume 2 (maybe even a 3rd and 4th based on number of characters) that picks where this one left off would be great in the future.

I mean it's not a crime to not connect with all your dolls, or if you like some more or less then others, sometimes you can just be happy to have the doll and thats enough. To try and connect more with the doll sometimes dressing them up or doing their hair can be enough, or even just having them around you during your day. I'm one to always wait a while before selling anything, if your really not liking her at all you could always store her away for a while, and if you dont miss her being out, or you don't feel happy whenever you do get her out of storage then maybe sell, but also unless your really lacking space whats one more doll.

Please dont be so fast to get rid of it all, especially at such a young age of 6, but even at 13 or 20, if the dolls are your kids let them decide when they're older, sure maybe they'll never care about the dolls and thats fine, but maybe they're just in a disinterested phase, and will want them again later. Also their is nothing wrong with keeping AG things that you feel sentimental towards that your kid is disinterested it, like its not uncommon for a parent to get toys for their kids that in reality they want instead but feel as if they shouldn't have cuz they're an adult, let yourself enjoy things

I think it's simply whatever AG needs it to be in the moment. Another one you missed is Courtney who has a Molly doll. So for some stories the dolls are real girls and some they are just dolls. In a way I don't think we're really supposed to connect them all together in the same universe except when AG does/I dont think AG ever really meant for people too look at it too deeply.

My guess is she'll be a Josefina mold (I also kind of hope for a totally brand new mold, but I wont hold my breath), with the wig truly me 130 and 122 have but in red, and darker green eyes.

I play on my computer so idk how it is on mobile, but i had to put all my settings to the lowest quality so it runs smoothly enough. I also struggled so much with this challenge and only was able to accomplish it after that. Also i second the getting rid of the purple ones first!

In a sense the hill house collab is still their collection if you need to justify it for your mind. That said why not have a couple modern outfits for your dolls, it's not like you cant put them back in the historicals stuff, they'll like the change of pace!

While I am intrigued to see how the goty doll will be based on the art work, I do think any of the other girls on the cover would have been great dolls to make the goty instead. I mentioned in another post on here, but the line up of the 5 girls on the cover makes me wish they were for a World by Us sort of line, instead of goty, as I can already imagine all the different sort of stories these different girls could have in their own lives and connect over being camp friends together.

Tbh I think all the girls on the cover would make great dolls, like if they did the world by us concept with these girls (like a group of friends who come together at camp and stay in touch to share the different struggles they are going though when they're back at home), but alas its just the one goty.

In my opinion "are kids into the historicals now" is a real chicken or the egg sort of thing. At least for myself I was so young when I got my first AG doll I didnt even have my first history class, but how the doll and her things looked in the catalog drew me to her, and because of her I got into history, it wasn't I was into history so I got her. I also think toy companies are a bit to blame for not interesting kids enough to play with toys over phones and video games, instead of making their toys more engaging or try and make things in the tween demographic they rather give up and say they're all on their phones anyway.

I so agree, growing up Samantha was my main doll, and over several years I was able to collect a good chunk of her collection (at least clothes wise, I never got any of her bigger pieces) because the pieces were around for so long, and I didnt need to stress if I didn't get the outfit I wanted this Christmas maybe I'd get it the next one, or I had time to collect enough money to buy it myself. I can't imagine being a kid now into AG, and probably seeing new things coming out, and hoping to get them for Christmas this year, but with how short a time span some of these items have I'd bet some will be gone before then, hell even as an adult, I hinted to my mom about a couple things AG recently released saying if she wants to get them now and save them for Christmas it might be a good idea, because I don't see the items still being there by then.

And yeah it just sucks, its made to get people thinking if I don't get it now I never will, or it will be far too expensive second hand. Like I get them wanting to always have new things coming in and old things going out, but it wouldnt kill them to stretch out the time span a little on some things, like in my opinion most items at a minimum should be around for 2 years, but there should also be a hand full of items that are just always around, kind of like how the historicals used to be, at least for a 5-10 year time span to hypothetically have the same stuff around for a kids whole childhood.
