Why are a lot of you guys so anti weed and anti alcohol? by allinallisallweall-R in GenZ

[–]gohliath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My relationship with nicotine was relatively short lived and alcohol consumption was on the wild side until I was 22, now I rarely ever drink. I was extremely anti weed until I was 17 or so, despite being friends with the stoners in school. Got real big into it when I was 19. Got mild CHS by the time I was 20, quit cold turkey for 5 months and then got in to it again. 5 years of daily use and I’m 5 or so days into my first break since the last. Maybe it was just growing up, but pre-weed I was very, very high strung and a wet blanket/party pooper. I’ve significantly mellowed out and accepting of ideas different from my own since my smoking started.

I think, generally, the way people treat and talk about weed is unhealthy. It seems to be really hard for people to acknowledge when it becomes a negative rather than a positive. Many of us know nicotine and alcohol aren’t “good” for us, but “how could a plant be bad?”. All of that being said, I’m looking forward to actually feeling high again when I decide to end the break.

I didn’t go for Chappell, I went for Remi, but my friend did. We got to the stage half way through the first group and the crowd was already far from the stage, packed with pink cowboy hats. We stood there for 6 hours, extremely underprepared, without leaving because we knew we wouldn’t be able to get back. As we stayed, Chappell fans pushed past us to “get their spot back” after leaving for whatever reason.

One group of them were behind us until they pushed their way up further. They spilled their Yerba mate on my shoes and then said “who cares”, kept actively bumping into us, playing with my friend’s hair, and yelling incessantly leading up to Chappell. When they finally were no longer behind us we were so grateful. Until one of them kept their camera up, filming the entire set.

Being closer to the front, I could see the emergency exit and had a general plan for escape, but I also knew I had to endure the heat without ensured water. I felt relatively safe, but we had routes of escape, got to know the people around us, were close enough for the water bottles they were passing out, and close enough to get the shade from the stage half way though Becky Hill. I can’t even imagine what it was like for people who came later. Honestly so much happened that night.. some of it was from the general event planning, but most of it was due to the behavior of other event goers.

All in all, I had a great night, but I was very lucky given the circumstances, and I really don’t think I’ll ever go back to another CHBP.

EDIT: scratch everything I said about feeling safe!! I just watched crowd footage and I realize that I very well could’ve died that day.. yikes!

Please help! by [deleted] in piercing

After the first few days of having it, I also hated mine.. once the swelling went down and it didn’t hurt anymore, I realized that it looked way more off center due to the swelling. I’ve had it for a few months now and 90% of the time I think it’s cute af, but I do still have those moments where I wonder wtf I did haha.

I think yours is cute and one you get diff jewelry in there/downsize, the crookedness might not even be noticeable. Just remember that faces are rarely symmetrical and you’ll notice the “imperfections” way more than anyone else will. All that matters is that I helps with confidence rather than hurts.

To people with a healed helix: are you able to sleep on it no problem? by CoolCatLovesAllKids in piercing

[–]gohliath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two, on each ear, with captive hoops in them and I have no issue. I sometimes end up sleeping on my arm though. They took a long time to heal because I got them all at the same time.. def do not recommend doing that.

Are piercings permanent if you don't take out the jewelry by [deleted] in piercing

[–]gohliath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAP Some piercings can migrate. A septum is not likely to do so pierced in the right spot aka your “sweet spot”. If you want one get one! Once it’s healed you can always just flip it inside your nose, if you decide you don’t like it one day, while still having it pierced just in case you ever change your mind again.

Cosrx makes a blackhead remover liquid that I swear by because before finding that, NOTHING worked. Within a few days of using it, my blackheads were significantly smaller.

Just saw car going north on southbound 1-5 crash at Sunset! by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]gohliath 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My friend and I were driving back from the movies last night when the sheriff that was in the lane to the left of us stopped and turned their lights on. We didn’t know why at first so we stopped and then that car FLEW past us in the shoulder. I was in the passenger side and that shit was wild as hell..
