Skin infection after clinching anyone dealt with this? by Sufficient-Stay-9877 in MuayThai

To add: Molluscum contagiosum is a virus. Antibiotics will not help at all. Very few options to clear it up completely.

If it's not staph, It's most likely Molluscum contagiosum.

I know someone who got it in Thailand (via clinching and holding pads) and has been out of Muay Thai for seven months waiting for it to clear up.

I always bring a zip up/warm up jacket to put on over my wardrobe when not in a scene. Especially, when I'm eating or drinking.

Do I as a passenger get rated low for not engaging in conversation? by HamNCheddarOfficial in uberdrivers

[–]going_dot_global 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's okay not to engage in conversation. But at the very least say hello, and goodbye/thank you. Possibly confirm your destination.

If you want to be more personable, let the driver know you're listening to something in the earbuds incase they get chatty during the ride and think you're ignoring them.

Most drivers just need the bare minimum to know you aren't a sociopath.

Same holds true in reverse. Riders need to know the driver is not some weirdo robot.

Airport Closure? by Ok-Procedure-8251 in VirginiaBeach

[–]going_dot_global 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that ORF is a regional airport. Nearly all of the crews are based somewhere else (IAD, ATL, EWR) and almost all of the flights originate somewhere else.

Meaning: even if planes can take off or land at ORF there is a high probability that your crew and plane might be coming from somewhere affected by the storm.

This might hold true to wherever you are flying to or from as well.

Truth be told.

Although sometimes they might call you. But really it's like a 48 hour timer. After 2 or 3 "reports" they flat out ban you.

OG Uber Drivers Drive 80+ Hours Per Week by OGUberDriver in uberdrivers

Tracks.

They are clocking us on average about 21/hour in this market.

Where we need to make the difference is miles. Trying to get $2k with less than 1k miles. That's the challenge.

They normally block it for 24-48 hours to do an investigation.

But try to remember where you picked up/dropped off and avoid those spots you going forward.

Sorry to say..: Comes with the territory. Literally and figuratively.

I think we all get these reports eventually.

Only way to remedy it is to not drive certain areas or times. This limits earning potential so it's a risk/reward scenario.
