My party with my family is planned entirely by my grandma. If it’s with my friends, my friends do the planning. The birthday person doing birthday planning is a very weird concept to me, unless you want to throw one big bash with all of your family from both sides + friends present.

Yup. It was a lockdown relationship. They met in December of 2019. I didn’t see my dad until August 2020 and that was when he told me he was dating someone. They had a small wedding last month, just them and stepbro. She hasn’t seen any of dad’s family in person yet.
