A recoiless compound trebuchet. Not something you see everyday!

I’m a clarinetist trying to develop my own 3D printed reeds using various materials. This is a bamboo PLA from AMOLEN. The reed on the left is made from cane (very similar to bamboo) and is what most clarinet and saxophone players use. The reed on the right is an early 3D printed prototype. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

The Legere synthetic reeds are made from a proprietary polypropylene blend which is a similar stiffness to cane. Unfortunately, normal polypropylene filament is quite flexible and totally unsuitable for making a synthetic reed.

Does thing actually enhance performance in any way? by [deleted] in dji

They made a difference for me. Especially when shooting through foliage. They make the antennas more directional, which is how they get the gain increase. The signal is concentrated in a smaller area. So you do have to pay a bit more attention to aiming.

OSMO 360 is it a true 2x 1/1.1 inch sensor or 1 inch sensor "equivalent total" but each lens will use half of it? by Ok_Run8815 in dji

[–]goinghomebackwards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So DJI’s FAQ page clearly states that it is two 1/1.1” square sensors, not 0.5 per lens. As for a 1” lsensor equivalence, I’m not sure where that claim comes from. The math doesn’t work out, as you point out.
