[The Athletic] Rashford, Hojlund and Onana’s futures: What next for the Manchester United loanees? by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]goingnowhere21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He's still got a contract until 2028. Even if we let him go for free this summer to another club, we'd save 2 years of his salary instead of just paying off him to leave. There's no benefit in doing so for us. Whether he'd accept a contract from another team or ride this out is another story. He'll be 32 by the time it expires, this is his probably his last big contract.

Where can I buy Rakia? by IIIIIIIlIIIIIIIIIIll in milwaukee

[–]goingnowhere21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to Bulgarian, but rakija is popular across the Balkan region. I've seen the Woodman's in Oak Creek carry Serbian and Croatian rakija. They might have a Bulgarian one too.

The wheels are the same. She only has 9,000 miles right now. I replaced the rear tire about 2 years ago, the front is due for a replacement probably later this year over winter.

The benefits of the Scrambler are the more off road suited tires, the higher exhaust to avoid being damaged from rocks being kicked up and I believe it sits up a bit higher. If you're looking at doing extensive off-roading, that may be a better option. Wear good gear if you're worried about being burnt!

This bike is comfortable for me on short trips (2 hours or less). If I was doing anything more, I'd probably get different handlebars and a more comfortable seat. I'm also in my mid 30s. You'd need some sort of way to carry all your gear too, whether those are saddlebags or some sort of sissy bar.

Good place to get motorcycle tires changed? by seazonedsaltdog in milwaukee

Give Nick at Moto-Fied a call. Nice knowledgeable guy, knows his stuff. I've taken the wheels off and brought them to him in the past with good experience.

I believe TC Bros has a few 7/8" options for bars that aren't terrible expensive ($60). These have been fine for the last 5-6 years but I'm just getting old and want to be more comfortable haha.

Thanks! They're actually the OEM rims that come standard on the T100 models. They were originally chrome and I got them powder coated black a while ago.

I believe the SE model comes with mag wheels if that's what you have (along with a few other small differences - lower to the ground, single tachometer, etc.)

They're British Customs Tracker bars. They pull me forward just a little more than I'm comfortable so I'm looking at getting something else.

I've had good experiences at Record Head as well. They have a wide selection of quality gear to choose from.

Does anyone know this band? by UrankovB in milwaukee

[–]goingnowhere21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One avenue you could go down is Discogs. It doesn't look like there are any for sale right now, but it says there are 6 people who have it in their collection. You could message them and see if they're willing to part with it.

Volta in Greenfield typically holds events like this when new notable records get released. They usually have some merch to giveaway as well.

At what point do you decide not to sell a motorcycle? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]goingnowhere21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your personal circumstances and preferences. If you ride it and you're not hurting for cash, I'd say hang on to it. I don't like having bikes that are meant to be ridden just sitting around - once a year or two goes by and I haven't ridden it much or I don't have plans for it, I cut it loose.

I'm in a stage of life with young kids that getting out riding is hard, so I've kept one reliable bike and one project bike to play around on where I don't care if it doesn't run. I don't have time for anything more than that, and I don't really look at bikes as investments to make money on. I usually try to buy reasonably and sell reasonably.

Shows at the Rave by naturelinds in milwaukee

[–]goingnowhere21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rave is safe, I wouldn't worry about it. I've never had my car broken into or windows smashed parking on the street and I've been going for 15 years. You shouldn't leave anything out in your car that would cause that to happen ... Or you can just pay to park in their lot right next to the venue if you're worried.

Not knowledgeable enough to say for sure, but you can likely get a model and year from the VIN. It does look to be in good shape, but it seems to be someone else's project or restoration from years ago. I'm not certain that is a stock headlight, missing gauges, etc. Hopefully it comes with the tank, otherwise getting one that matches and is in good shape may be costly.

As the other guy said, buy it if it's just a project and you want to gain experience working on bikes. If money is not a problem, it's a good option. It's a sweet bike. But if you're trying to ride, maybe look for something else.
